  1. Or it's twenty minutes or so from Forest Hill and frequent. Depends where your starting from really.
  2. A(Hello all Some of you may be aware of the Albrighton Community Fridge running at the Albrighton Centre on Albrighton Rd, Dog Kennel Hill Estate, have a look here if you'd like to know more - https://www.albrightoncommunityfridge.org/ As things get closer to normal for some people we find ourselves needing volunteers, this can be from as little as 2 hours a week. If you do have a little time on your hands, maybe looking for some volunteering experience before the return to school/uni/work, then please contact me by pm, or the Fridge office on 020 7737 6186 or even email Megan at [email protected] who co-ordinates all these things. Thanks for reading and please get in touch if you need anything. Admin sadly this isn't Covid specific so I put it in general, thanks.
  3. Please drop them into the Albrighton Community Fridge on Albrighton Road off Dog Kennel Hill, we always need bags for people to take their food away. Thank you.
  4. I'm working to become a mediator at the moment but you probably don't need me quite yet.. Try going via the Civil Mediation Council maybe? https://civilmediation.org/
  5. You could try the Melford Road method. Get Thames Water to close the road intermittently while installing new water mains. Then, and this is important, make sure they make a mess of it. The subsequent leaks can then get in the gas supply, so you need a new gas main. They closed the road last night to do this, and it'll be closed for a week or so. Voila! I'm off to buy some planters...
  6. As they all say, get on to Veolia. Can't help but think this is not very bright, behaving like this in uniform and clearly identifiable...!
  7. Offer them for free on here or maybe give them to the Hamlet 12th Man who seem to have boxes of programmes at matches? Then bite the bullet and bin them. I have a pile of 2000AD specials I'm about to do the same with....
  8. Post today! And DHL deliveries! And DPD delivery as well! I'm a lucky chap and no mistake.
  9. You could create a kick start style motorbike trials course over the planters - that would be great.
  10. Hello Melford Road, along with Wood Vale, has lots of Thames Water roadworks at the moment and there is a black Renault parked on the road from before they put cones out. Just a thought you might want to move it, they're working round it a lot but I get the impression they'd like to be digging the road up where the car is..
  11. I supported it then and I support it now - https://www.greyskatemag.com/post/the-grove-diy-an-overgrown-pub-carpark-transformed-during-lockdown/ Have a read..

This is the usual sh-tshow. Stay home kids. By the way I agree.
  13. Had dinner there last night, really good. Big old portions. Not fine dining and doesn't pretend to be, I had a " Kharcho - the perfect Georgian comfort food - stewed beef cooked with walnuts and spices, served with grilled Ghomi (polenta)" (from website), mrs ruffers had Shkmeruli - crispy fried baby chicken in a clay pot with creamy garlic sauce served with pan-fried baby potatoes. Very tasty and decent value, seem like nice people. They'll be doing takeaway and wine from tomorrow, I will try to support them and hope you do too.
  14. Put them in For Sale and items offered, there's always people asking for moving boxes.
  15. Tell your insurance, they can get it also. I had someone do this to my motorbike on security film, they were convicted of careless driving and leaving the scene. Which was nice.

  18. I'm losing track. Can someone summarise, whether they agree or not, what the objective is of these closures? Thanks..
  19. Deserter has kindly compiled an inside / outside pub guide NEW: Where to head for a pint when it's pissing it down. A crowd-sourced compendium of covered cheer.https://t.co/FPe0nzQEuw pic.twitter.com/27wtU4TmR6— Deserter (@deserterblog) October 3, 2020
  20. I particularly enjoyed watching a bin wagon doing a ten point turn on Melbourne Grove at the end of Chesterfield Grove yesterday morning.
  21. Leave it next to Blue bins flattened, pop out and say thank you when they come..
