  1. Is this the new owners of the football club? Great way to start.
  2. Anyone been down there? Is the car wash open today?
  3. The guy in charge of the car washing business was there today when I went to the Hamlet. The gate was locked shut with a private security guard and car there, with a dog. Car wash guy wasn't too clear when I asked him what had happened but clearly quite upset as his business is just stopped - he seemed to imply the new owner(?) doesn't want his business operating there in the car park. Seems a shame if so - I went there a lot and it always seemed popular. I stand to be corrected if anyone knows anything more.
  4. I enjoyed this lot last Saturday - Breddo got my vote and won overall. No recipes, sorry. http://www.tweatup.co.uk/taco-wars-2-menu/

  6. Genuine question - what would this button do? If I like a post I like it, no need for a button. Or am I missing something?
  7. Is Station Master Barry still there? No he's not, just found this Good afternoon to those who remember me...just thought I would pop in and say hello and hope all is well with your stations Sad to say I left Southern back in November but still in the industry (in a way!!) Best wishes Barry ------ The works would be much smoother if he was I'm sure!

I genuinely could not care less how popular the Premier League is around the world.

Can I have a go? - I agree with you. One aspect of BT Sport coverage which is starting to annoy me is they seem desperate to find and provoke conflict, even more than Shreeves at Sky, and they were going right at this. Shouty emotional people who've been running around may eject spittle - I don't think he spat though and it should have been left as the ref saw it. Hart leant in, but didn't nut, leave it to the ref.

    Great Gigs

Saw The Cure 3 or 4 years ago at Wembley of all places, and they were brilliant. Genuinely just plain great, three hours of a band which just knows what they're doing. So am going again to RAH next week and hoping not to be disappointed.
  18. Some great examples of reading and responding to the start of the thread here without following the narrative in between.

van Persie out with a self inflicted injury. If he'd played the ball rather than trying to buy a foul he'd be fine right now, silly boy. edit - Actually I just watched it and may be being a bit harsh. A bit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EfMFy9ZGlc
  20. A bit of a sweeping statement there ted.
  21. Dutiful references to the FIFA World Cup. It's the just the world cup.
  22. "by posting inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community " Shall we stick to the topic then? ;-

Two no scientists... ;-) Weather change surely is more gradual than this appears to be, I'd have thought. Also there has been no real mention of seasonal variations in complaints that I can see which would surely be significant if we're blaming humidity variations.
  24. To me 4 seems really unlikely. The entire world plane fleet isn't replaced overnight so unless we can tie a major change of fleet to November 2012, the date reports are that the noise complaints increased significantly, then that can only be a minor factor at best. 3, agreed, very unlikely. So that leaves one and two and a significant increase in complaints since November 2012, which leaves me asking what happened then?
