  2. Well as a City fan I went to the Den two or three times and every time I saw trouble. So I tried the New Den and we were held in the ground for an hour afterward while there was a bit of a riot outside, then got an escort to South Bermondsey treading through broken bottles and bricks. No police waiting at London Bridge though, cheers lads. So as I say, I've tried. Ironically I quite like the club and understand it works hard on community relations etc but experience has put me off. I'll try again at some point.
  3. Seems to me King, Walcott, Baines did themselves no favours last night at all, Johnson was OK when he came on, Hart tried too hard with his distribution, Lennon not bad, and neither Milner nor Carrick should be asked to do Gareth Barry's job. Funny game when you win 3-1 but are more worried after it than before.. re Barry he has his test tomorrow.
  4. Regardless of whether it's out of their remit to my mind it's still a given not to park on the pavement. I guess that's my point even if I wasn't too clear.
  5. Regency Chippy. Seriously.

  7. Not been for a few years and believe me, I've tried on a few occasions to give Millwall a chance but every time they blow it. So.. come on Swindon.

They parked with their wheels on the pavement; surely anyone in possession of a driving license knows not to do that unless there's a sign showing it's permitted? Don't they? We can argue about whether the quote "@rsehole" warden should have warned them and whether there should be signs but it would have been easier if they just hadn't parked like that in the first place..
  9. So Tonight That I Might See - Mazzy Star
  10. "Who is the comedian that mocks East Dulwich?" Sounds like the start of a middle class rumble.
  11. That's really good.
  12. You could argue that companies which make vast profits at the expense of the environment, workers rights, and without reference to any moral compass are good businesses, very good in fact. Equally a local ethical supplier of organic hand knitted tofu (as it were) which supports charities and gives hope to the homeless is a 'good' business. Bottom bottom line is probably profitable and sustainable (business, not in a 'green way) in it's purest judgement.
  13. Appeal what? Was a ticket definitely issued? "Writing a note" isn't issuing a ticket, there's no mention of it being given or attached to a vehicle. If I misunderstood anything then fair enough.
  14. What about Switzerland vs Honduras?

I'm finding the forum MUCH easier to scan through now, thanks Admin!

That rather rests on accepting the presumption that it's correct that low emission vehicles shouldn't pay. As they cause as much damage to the roads and their pollution is merely displaced I think they should pay the same as any other car myself.
  18. I saw a fellah in the green cafe near the Plough the other week who I knew I knew but couldn't place, really started to annoy me. Then I went to collect a parcel a few days later from the sorting office and what do you know? There he was. Behind the counter. I knew I knew him from somewhere.
  19. Guessing a bit but it might be the Forest Hill issue is you have one recycling bag or box I think? In Southwark we have a paper one and a separate glass and plastics. No problem here about putting shredded in with other paper but I can imagine it would contaminate the others too much in one bag.
  20. mistymorn Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Didn't see the 'please close it now' .. apologies Totally off topic, but if someone in a pub who started a conversation which expanded and drew in a few people said "Right, stop talking about it now" - would you stop then?
  21. This could be under Things That Have Made Me Laugh; Mourinho on the Inter Barcelona second leg - "People like to go on about the second game against Barcelona (at Camp Nou) and they like to say that we parked the bus in front of the Barcelona attack but that's not true, we parked a plane in front of Barcelona..."

Forum down today. We now appear to have dotted lines around the sponsor ads, any other changes to excite us? Ignore function perhaps (he said wistfully)
  24. Probably the post man had already opened it to see if it had cash inside.
