  1. have the feds told people to lockdown their shops or is it by choice?
  2. Tnis is what is on the thames water website. It says here May 2011. Victorian mains replacement, Rye Lane, SE15 Location Live travel news View works location on map Transport for London website Start date 9 December 2010 Completion date 19 May 2011 Find out more Call our works contractor Morrison on 0845 9200 800, quoting reference number CAP 5. If they wanted to get this done quickly they could, its cheaper for them to just take their time though. Even though they are a private company they have the rights of a public authority. Total utter joke.
  3. 24 hour off licences are so handy- and its the only way small shops can compete with sainsburys, tesco etc. the only time they make their money is when other shops are closed. i fully support the licence
  4. when will this end? it's a complete joke that the utility companies can dig up any road for any period of time and close it off to traffic.
  5. i think some bus drivers don't know the diversion is over. All temp bus stations look to be removed .
  6. train to elephant and castle then bakerloo line - quickest and easiest
  7. modern washer dryers condense through the waste water pipe thing meaning you don't get any issues like you are concerned about.
  8. why would you want to swim in an indoor pool in summer? Brockwell Park Lido is only down the road and is much better. Projects fall behind sometimes. That is construction.
  9. if you don't like living just off lordship lane because of bars that are open till 1am - then move away. I chose not to live just off lordship lane as wherever there are bars and shops there is higher crime - there are loads of houses that you can move to. I don't see why the majority of people should be stopped from drinking. pathetic nimbyism
  10. i wonder how much cash she pulls in when she does this? A fair amount for a couple of hours work?
  11. just got my CIU membership and am interested in trying out some of the local working men's clubs out - anyone been to the Liberal Club or got any recommendations of nice ones>
  12. My iphone makes it 1.8 miles full circle- what is the fastest time anyone has ever ran it? I have got it down to 12.40.
  13. anyone know which pubs have this match on- would EDT?

The bloke I saw was Scottish. Probably a good thing to do to get cash. Never give money out to anyone who cold calls you or apporoaches you in the street.
  15. why would you keep bikes in a shed without a good lock on at the front of your house?
  16. yes catchment area is different for it. and people walking home from peckham rye station will pass it.
  17. does this matter though? when the east london line is extended a lot of people will go to Canary Wharf etc that way? Less people will use it.
  18. alas yes- they are. all of those shops stinks. On another note the butchers at Dalston do not stink and have rats running around them...which serve a similar ethnic community.

I also feel really sorry for the people who shop there- they obviously don't see/or care about that. The other thing is, it's not that much cheaper than supermarkets...leg of lamb is only 50p more per kilo in Waitrose
  20. anyone who says they are not dirty are idiots. I saw a rat in one of the fridges in one of the butchers on Rye Lane the other month. They have a huge problem with rats and it doesnt look like they clean up properly Frozen meat is put next to fresh; meat and fish should not smell like that. Southwark Council are soley to blame.
  21. who does ?35 taxis? I would go victoria - district line to south ken - pic. line to heathrow - so much cheaper and only 20-30mins more than a cab
  22. it had that already - so you are too late with your misserable moaning.
  23. is it an ipod or is it sony?
  24. you will get the money back though - if it is confirmed as fraud.
