  1. Scenic replaced all my wood sash windows and wood french doors with amazing looking upvc sash. he even dropped some spare keys off a year later when I lost some. highly recommeneded
  2. we tried to help too by staying with it - but it flew off. relatively distressing to see an injured bird. fingers crossed it's OK.
  3. Whatever the number of the premises is i.e. 212 lordship lane
  4. Hi My joiner Henry fitted 2 sets of floating shelves and made them extra strong. They look fantastic. He was also miles cheaper than anyone else. If you want, I can drop you photos... His number is 07590 615126

Agreed. If you miss the train to Peckham from Victoria you now have 2 options - via blackfriars or via clap junc. The issue is there are no direct trains in the evenings
  6. I think the issue was that the timetable was pretty crap - I.e. the Following departure times from Victoria to Peckham 19.09 19.11 19.39 19.41 Pointless really! The major issue is a lack of trains in the evening - there is a plan to get these quite soon though. Otherwise you have to go via clapham junction / blackfriars - which adds 20 minutes to the journey - quite grim really. It is clearly a waste of platform space using prime platforms for the SLL instead of long distance services whilst LB is being redeveloped and Victoria is so congested though.

Isn't there a plan to add an additional service outside of peak hours though? http://www.tfl.gov.uk/corporate/projectsandschemes/15403.aspx
  8. surely changing at clapham junction won't be a huge problem - and it opens up waterloo as well. i think people should wait until its introduced and see what you think. On the face of it, it does look bad losing the victoria service though.
  9. surely if demand for the victoria services is there, more trains will be put on this route in the future? i agree that metro frequency with direct trains to victoria is pretty much essential from Denmark Hill and Peckham Rye- as this is a major terminus and area with a lot of offices etc.
  10. the general rule is, anything in a front garden will be taken as most people leave stuff in their garden to throw away / or for people to collect. Why didnt you move it to the back?
  11. i got a flyer for this - does anyone use it? I thought the joy of going to local shops was the relationship you have with the staff? It seems a bit souless ordering it online?
  12. id move to east london if you are younger. east dulwich is fine, but its a bit dull. the thing is its cheaper than east london here.
  13. have the feds told people to lockdown their shops or is it by choice?
  14. Tnis is what is on the thames water website. It says here May 2011. Victorian mains replacement, Rye Lane, SE15 Location Live travel news View works location on map Transport for London website Start date 9 December 2010 Completion date 19 May 2011 Find out more Call our works contractor Morrison on 0845 9200 800, quoting reference number CAP 5. If they wanted to get this done quickly they could, its cheaper for them to just take their time though. Even though they are a private company they have the rights of a public authority. Total utter joke.
  15. 24 hour off licences are so handy- and its the only way small shops can compete with sainsburys, tesco etc. the only time they make their money is when other shops are closed. i fully support the licence
  16. when will this end? it's a complete joke that the utility companies can dig up any road for any period of time and close it off to traffic.
  17. i think some bus drivers don't know the diversion is over. All temp bus stations look to be removed .
  18. train to elephant and castle then bakerloo line - quickest and easiest
  19. modern washer dryers condense through the waste water pipe thing meaning you don't get any issues like you are concerned about.
  20. why would you want to swim in an indoor pool in summer? Brockwell Park Lido is only down the road and is much better. Projects fall behind sometimes. That is construction.
  21. if you don't like living just off lordship lane because of bars that are open till 1am - then move away. I chose not to live just off lordship lane as wherever there are bars and shops there is higher crime - there are loads of houses that you can move to. I don't see why the majority of people should be stopped from drinking. pathetic nimbyism
  22. i wonder how much cash she pulls in when she does this? A fair amount for a couple of hours work?
  23. just got my CIU membership and am interested in trying out some of the local working men's clubs out - anyone been to the Liberal Club or got any recommendations of nice ones>
  24. My iphone makes it 1.8 miles full circle- what is the fastest time anyone has ever ran it? I have got it down to 12.40.
