  1. Thanks everyone for a really helpful thread. I love my dog and know he's a sweetie, but I'd love him to be a bit more obedient. I'll get some stilton tomorrow and see if that helps. Also I've been looking after a friend's dog for the past two months and he's an uncastrated young male, so the dynamic between the two dogs has been a bit up and down (mine is castrated but older). That may have affected his behaviour, but my friend has sorted out accomodation now so he'll be taking his dog back this weekend. Hopefully it will be a bit easier to get my dog to behave better with your tips and no other interloper to challange his position!
  2. That's funny, my 11 year old daughter does that kind of thing with him all the time. She makes him sit for ages before she releases him to find the food! He really enjoys it. I will try carrying nice treats with me when i'm out with him. He's good on the lead, doesn't pull, but I need to stop him chasing foxes. He's a staff mix, I got him when he was about 10 months old and he hadn't been socialised but is a quick learner and great with dogs, cats, people etc. Just has strong chasing instinct I think.
  3. Thanks, I hate keeping him the lead in the park because he loves a good run, but he's too naughty at the moment, too many foxes running around in the bushes.
  4. Just get the new ones to agree to a slary with no bonus, innit? Better for them than selling drugs or ducking and diving, but if they get uppity and want the fat bonuses, boot them out and bring in the fresh batch of newly trained estate kids! In fact, since the universities have been pumping out way more law graduates than can get a job, newly qualified lawyers take much lower salaries than people realise. Maybe we should have banker degrees and subsidise the poor kids to get qualified. Just see how fast their salary will come down when you have a glut of qualified bankers looking for work! There we go, i've solved the whole wanker banker crisis all by myself!
  5. Theiving bastard bankers could be replaced by some of the more talented hard nosed Council Estate kids after a bit of training. How bloody hard can it be? If you need to be fearless, fast-thinking and ruthless, I could fill RBS with some of the kids I saw grow up on the Rockingham.

  7. That I've only just been paid and am almost broke already, kmt.
  8. I didn't know there was a working man's club in Peckham, didn't think there were enough men working to make it worth while! Edited to say sorry for the cheap shot! Just couldn't resist.
  9. My dog is a total pig, and no amount of shouting can stop him trying to snatch a sneaky drumstick when the picnickers are out, so I try to remember to take him out early if the weather is good! I've had to start keeping him on the lead anyway recently because he really wants to be a fox hound and the foxes seem to be very active aat the moment. Any dog classes nearby?
  10. Most bull breed puppies are really cute, friendly and waggy, so maybe most of the people who get them get them because they are cute, friendly and waggy, not because they think they might become aggressive. I love dogs, and am getting sick of the dog hating vocal minority who make bull breed owners scared to let their dog sniff and socialise with other dogs because of the hysterical reactions they get. I have a bull breed dog who was attacked by a huge pitbull in Dulwich park when he was about 11 months old but he has not become aggressive and is fine with other dogs, cats, chickens, donkeys, children and adults. He always wants to chase squirrels and foxes, but bloody hell, he's a dog. That's what dogs do. Saying all of that, I think the owner of the dog who attacked Woody needs to get it castrated and get some dog training lessons or something (and obviously to cough up for vet fees etc). That would be a better option than a witch hunt or dog control order.

So that's why he didn't say anything about the bankers and other corporations having their snouts in the trough - cos he was snuffling out his own stash. It should be illegal - I hope some smart arse gets him on some kind of fraud/embezzlement or such - but no doubt the disgusting changeling will get away with all of this. I hope not though.

  14. Sounds like you had a great afternoon!
  15. A friend of mine has a security company and I know he can fit tiny cameras that are undetectable to catch people doing things like this. His name is Michael and his company is called Master Protection. He said one camera, one moniter and recording equipment would be about ?500 and his contact details are: Mob 07817054743 email: [email protected] He's a nice guy and has only just started up his own business after haveing been made redundant, so is very reasonable with his prices.
  16. The right to go about your lawful business without unwarranted inteference by the state.
  17. There was a time when joe public were happy to see pro-active police work. I sincerely hope BTP read this thread and decide to give Denmark Hill a wide berth - It's the gateway to the drugs hotspot that is Camberwell for all those dealers who have lost their driving licences. They're the ones who will also be armed with a knife, or more probably a firearm, sitting in the same carriage as you. Er, slightly alarmist scare mongering there, in my opinion. Not sure where that came from!
  18. So you have to pretty much go out of your way and over the top to not get off with self-defence when attacked or in fear of attack (even if it's a mistken fear of attack). So can we stop the melodrama now?
  19. Woops, just spotted the 'haven't' bit, so ignore that last comment!
