I hate the national. I won't preach about it, but the course length and fences are unnecessary. Most horses enjoy racing, but I just think this race is extreme.

It was same for us Mockney. The club get an allocation, sort of the sponsors and players requirements and the fans get the rest. Disgraceful.

It wasn't meant as advice or a dig for that matter. Its something that really pisses me off with supporters at LFC and I'm sure United have the same problem. People (season ticket holders or not) who go to every game that got the team to the semi final or final often miss out on tickets because all of a sudden that match is very popular. Most clubs have introduced a loyalty system so that people can't just decide they want to go to that match. It's my opinion that its unfair that you can not go to any matches all season and then get a semi final or a final ticket, hence the comment about attending earlier matches.

If you'd been to the earlier games, you'd have been guaranteed one.

There are some amazing bars and restaurants around the backstreets of Sol. I have been a few times and could direct you, but wouldn't have a clue about names. As has already been mentioned. Watch out for pickpockets - everytime we've been to Madrid, someone has been dipped or mugged. Even 'Arry got done when he went to the Calderon.

Madrid is an amazing city. Just wear a pair of comfy shoes and try and see as much of it as you can. If you're in to football, I'd recommend the Calderon over the Bernabeu every time!

Gutted for the Arsenal fans. Liverpool are still the only English team to beat Barca in the Camp Nou. Seems like a lifetime ago! Oh well, Porto/Braga tomorrow.

Well, I've been a bit smiley (like I've a coathanger stuck in my gob). The fact I'm off to our match v Braga for a few days from Weds obviously helps. The highlight of yesterday was the Kop singing Happy Birthday to King Kenny. "Boss!!"
