  1. Whilst it is unusual, to say the least, clearly social services thought them fit parents to adopt two children previously. Therefore I certainly don't think them attmepting to have a "biological" child is so far out. And whilst I'm still trying to work out whether being a transgendered female to male living with another transgendered female to male makes you gay, straight or bi sexual (and getting a headache in the process) I don't see it as any more problematic than any of those groups having children...i.e. not problematic at all. I would have thought the "long term effects" of being in a stable, loving family environment would be much more beneficial than remaining in the care-system.
  2. I doubt whether he knows the precise ins and outs of the Tevez deal either tbh but he felt comfortable answering questions about it. And knowledge of United's finances isn't hard to come by. Just read David Conn in the Guardian for fantastic investigative reporting on the gradual destruction of a club. Or listen to the tens of thousands of United fans voicing their disgust at every home game. Neville is coming to the end of a long and successful career. As captain and smoeone who has spent their whole career at one club he should grow a pair and speak up at a glaring wrong. Then again he could just pocket another 60k for a week's work and keep schtum.
  3. Except that Neville routinely, even as captain, refuses to answer questions about the Glazer's and United's finances on the grounds that it is a financial issue and players should not comment on that (wrongly imo). Yet he feels happy to comment on the financial aspects of ex-player's transfer dealings. Double standards.
  4. I say, you've been reading my book haven't you?! Mmmm....Ties
  5. You called?
  6. No way are Everton selling Saha unless they have a replacement lined up. They have too many injuries to key players as it is. Unless they offered Leeds a bundle of cash and Beckford is on his way.....hmmmm.

I'd agree with the "second album hihgpoint" bit....for me it's never been bettered BUT to discount Blonde on Blonde, Nashville Skyline, Blood on the Tracks and maybe Desire seems a tad harsh. Still, can't help myself hating three albums of pseudo Judeo-Christian rock shite. Edit - as Jah has also pointed out.
  8. I'd compare Midlake's second album to an all-male Fleetwood Mac myself..... The Strokes completely failed with Room on Fire, a follow-up to Is This It, but then that's not surprising given how good the earlier was. The White Stripes did well with De Stilj after their eponymous debut but then went and topped both with their Senior Year (to follow the theme) album, White Blood Cells.
  9. Half an hour....that's ridiculous. Can Apple not change the battery for you?
  10. What the heck are you using it for Piers that it only lasts six hours? I left my charger at work on Friday night. Leaving work with a fully charged phone and with bare minimum usage it was still alive this morning (I wasn't at work on Monday). Not bad. I reckon the battery life seems low but only because you end up using it for some much more stuff than a normal mobile and a lot of those apps are juice drinkers.
  11. Yeah, go on - I'll play again. Defend my title etc etc...
  12. Why not stop making the Champions League spots available for a top 4 finish and give one place each to the winners of the League Cup and FA Cup plus the top 2 finishers in the league. Would that need UEFA consent or is it up to the FA how they distribute our allocation?
  13. Except that two out the three Stoke goals did not come from set-plays, throw-ins or hoof ball tactics....they were well worked, skillful, pacy, passing plays that Arsenal failed to deal with. They played with genuine width and got crosses into the box - something Arsenal have not been doing all season. Fair play to 'em.
  14. Away against Premiership opposition AGAIN..... ....should we overcome the return leg against Spurs. Marching On Together!

Hope he does well at Sunderland.
  16. Orthodox Jews (such as those around the Stamford Hill area) force/ask politely that women cover their hair too. Normally this is with a wig and then a scarf. Double protection. Is anyone calling for this to be banned in the name of repression of women?
  17. titch juicy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > the same ropey defence that's kept 6 clean sheets > in the last 7 games? Really? My apologies then. I still tend to think of Spurs as wobbly at the back but good going forward. It appears the facts are against that opinion though. Fair play. Although I note that only Man City were a big team amongst those clean sheets.
  18. They were doing a couple of small, intimate gigs in London too...one at the Tabernacle next Thurs (28th) and again at the Wilton's Music Hall on the 31st....but both are sold out. I know you've got contacts GG - if I were you I'd use 'em to try and get tickets to either of these. Edit - Wilton's isn't exactly small but very cool.
  19. jimmy two times Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Tottenham 4 Leeds 4.... Come on ! Well the Spurs defence is pretty ropey but I'd be amazed if we got 4 against them. I'd be well happy with a draw though and take 'em back to Fortress Elland Road. Grrrr.
  20. Ellie Goulding - Heaven - 15th April Midlake - Shep Bush Empire - 18th Feb King Creosote - Slaughtered Lamb 31st March
  21. SimonM...I see killgallon has gone. A big loss? Nice to see another ex-Leeds academy product in the premiership though.
