Drink a yard of ale Shamefully, no. I can't down more than a pint at best. See last year's Barry Barry Road Race as an example. Hmmm - a distinctly un-man-like 9.5 for me I'm afraid. Now, where did I leave my lip-balm?

Scolari gone.....jaysus! Who can they get in at this stage of a season? Anyone good is already at a club and battling for honours. Ray Wilkins as caretaker for the rest of season? Come back Jose, all is forgiven. Chelsea fans must be wondering where it all went wrong. And if anyone suggests Zola or Di Matteo they need examining.

Woo! England may have been merely average but like the Welsh I'm quick off the mark. 110 was the highest score of the week which is bloody impressive. Harry Ellis was my star player (as well as being a last minute replacement when I found out Danny Care wasn't playing. Declan - you must have got rid of those Italian backs! Good work.
-
You know he's at Palace now though, Keef. Kevin Blackwell's the man at the Blades these days.
-
At least Keef was polite in his remarks. Fop indeed! Harrumph.

Aside from asking about a new flat my first post was concerning the perennial scourge of East Dulwich..... dangerous dogs! I apologise if this has been mentioned in the previous five pages (it would have taken some while to get through it all and heard the same arguments over and over) but I would like to raise an issue that is aside from the rights and wrongs of dog ownership and it's "dangers". Peckham Rye, which I assume would be covered by this ban, is a common i.e. a piece of common land. This entitles the surrounding community to have certain entitlements. Traditionally these have taken the form of being allowed to take their animals to graze (we're talking sheep and cattle rather than poodles I imagine), the right to fish, the right to remove sods of turf and limited amounts of wood. Incidently, if you were able to erect it in a day and set up a hearth you could have your home on a common without contravening planning law but if all of this applies to the land I would think Southwark council would have some trouble passing a by-law ensuring all animals were to be kept on leads. I would think taking a herd of sheep down to graze on the Rye would highlight the ridiculousness of the councils position. Parks are a different matter however, and the council are well within their rights to issue any edict on park behaviour without consultation or legal amendment. God I sound like a bloody sanctimonious old git..... ahhh good times!

SimonM where are you? Do we have any Wendies on the forum or is it down to a part-time Leeds fan to mock the first double to the Owls since 1913-4!!! Ouch.

Tony Adams to be sacked in the morning. Ratty.... Curbishley already touted.... seems alright but Adams seemed to be doing ok, no?

'Tis verrry simple folks - just don't shop there and all the little fellas will do just fine. Then tell your friends to do the same.

I know you haven't listed it, but I saw "Rachel's Getting Married" at the Ritzy last night and thought it very good. Darkly funny at times, disturbing and uplifting tale of a family coming to terms with death and substance abuse in amongst a wedding. Not nearly as depressing as it sounds and great performances from a relative cast of unknowns except for Anne Hathaway who puts in a career best performance.

David does confirm. It is roshambo or rock-paper-scissors as it's commonly known. Avalanche and the others are not types of move (of which there are by three) but the gambits used in pre-determined play. Eg avalanche is rock-rock-rock. For more info on the fascinating world of R-P-S and to enter the world championships(!) google it. Now... back to sports with balls and sticks if we must....
-
You're a bit warmer with arm-wrestling PGC. Perhaps another clue.... the tactics or moves described form part of the 8 "Great Gambits" although there are 19 possible other moves.
-
I'll give you a clue.... It's a one-on-one contest i.e. not a team sport.
-
Try again.
-
Nope And this only counts as a sport if tiddlywinks does! So think obscure....
-
Of which sport are the following tactical terms used: Paper Dolls The Denouement The Avalanche

The prose, grammar and punctuation were a dead giveaway, TLS, because the article in question that you plagiarised (and made no attempt to acknowledge the fact you did so - saying nothing implies it's yours) possessed all three of those characteristics of the English language. Your posts, for the most part, merely contain prose. -

Why can't you make do with a portable B&W tv you inherited from your Gran, eh Sean? That's what I want to know you capitalist pig-dog!

Oh good grief.... it's bloody tiddlywinks! JOHN LENNON MEMORIAL SHOT: a simultaneous boondock and squop. BOONDOCK: to play a squopped wink a long way away, usually while keeping your own wink(s) in the battle area. SQUOP: to play a wink so that it comes to rest above another wink What?????

I could say much the same "old bean/old fruit/matey/M8" - or whatever other arcane nomenclature you desire to be addressed by. -
I'm in Declan - subject to your approval. Had a look at your team....a 3/5 Italian back line spells trouble to me. Not too many tries coming from those fellas! Come on all you other rugby fans....join up!
