  1. Goddamn, this is good: Eli 'Paperboy' Reed - I'm Gonna Getcha Back This is, unbelievably, from last year. And he's white. And from Boston. WTF.
  2. I'd love to see Gary Speed back at Elland Rd but I fear that it would be the same story as with Gary Mac. Now isn't the time to be taking risks. John Sheridan is an ex-White who is doing well at Oldham with no money and who would be popular, even amongst the boo-boys. Hughes wouldn't drop down two leagues and as ex-Man Utd and ex-Chelsea he'd be as welcome at Leeds as a fart in submarine. Poyet would be good but not Wise. EVER! Cnut. But I have a feeling Poyet would merely hang around till a better offer came along, much as before. Christ, with the amount of Championship Manager time I've logged taking Leeds to the Champions League glory I know they deserve (heehee) I could bloody manage them. I like to see myself in the Brian Clough mould of managers only with a better taste in jumpers. Bah....I said I wasn't going to care anymore! Curse you Bates!
  3. *sighs heavily* I'm sad to see him go. He was a legend as a player with Leeds but even last season I began to wonder if he was up to the task. He's brought in a lot of players of which only a couple have shone. Our defence has been porous all season and nothing has been done to fix it. Attractive football is wonderful but at our level only one thing matters....results. I would have liked to have given him more time but after January a new manager can't bring in any players to rectify the situation and this year we simply MUST go up. No excuses. God knows who we'll get next though. Ince and Keane are being touted, and I'd be happy with either, but a LOT of Leeds fans will go loopy if am ex scummer were given the job. Twickenham on boxing day anyone?!

  5. Too late toots. I'm now merely adding to the collection :))
  6. ...is tweed.
  7. Volkswagens? Are they German Jehovah's Witnesses?
  8. ...And she will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy her EDF bretherin. And you will know her name is Moos when she lays her vengeance upon thee. ;-)
  9. I fancy starting smoking. I think 25 seems a good age to try. Mmm, a pipe I think. Anyone got an estate briar they'd care to pass on? And some choice cherry-scented Virginia shag. I might give it up at Lent though.
  10. Blessed are the cheesemakers.
  11. ????....you're the reason canvassing is such a joy. FFS...I'm a party member and have those questions!! :-S
  12. Hell does exist.... ....it's waiting for a bus at the Elephant & Castle. After dark. On a Sunday.
  13. Brendan, may I refer you to Piers's post as to why it's not harmless fun.... ....anti-social behaviour almost by definition is harmless. No one gets physically (or even mentally) hurt but it's still bloody rude and well, not cricket is it? And uninvited religious preaching to a captive audience in a confined space seems pretty anti-social to me. Edit: the one above his last one.
  14. I'm a big fan of Haye. He has talent, undoubtably, and the question marks over his chin lead to excitement in his fights that the heavyweight division hasn't provided for donkey's years. Fight fans continually bemoan boxers for "ducking" difficult opponents and taking the easy fights and easy money - well this fella isn't. He says he's the best and he's going to prove it. Would he really improve as a fighter after two or three more fights. Unlikely. He's fresh, hungry and has the tools to beat Klitschko now. I'm not sure he will but kudos to him for making heavywieght boxing exciting again. Something it's needed since the demise of Tyson over 10 years ago.
  15. I think he gets a bit of a bad reputation for hoof-ball. Not many managers who have Ivan Campo, Youri Djorkaeff and Jay-Jay Okocha in their team can be accused of unattractive football. It wasn't always pretty against the big teams or away from home but the fella got results and kept Bolton in the Premier League far longer than was reasonable on limited resources. His time at Newcastle, I think history will show, was an aberration. Good luck to him.
  16. Unsurprisingly I'm with Sean on this one. I couldn't give two hoots who believes what as long as it doesn't intefere with my life or cause ill towards others. Clearly, some chap (and I'll refrain from assessing his mental health) on a bus/lift/confined space lecturing others on the word of the Lord (their capitals, not mine) are transgressing on this agreement. It is not acceptable behaviour. And I really find it hard to believe that that is up for discussion. At the very least with JWs you can close the door on them.
  17. I find telling JWs that I'm Jewish is a fairly painless way to get rid of them. The smell of sausages on the stove on a sat morning can be a giveaway though.
  18. Lasagne. Or more specifically the fact that despite the industry standard size for lasagne sheets being x, lasagne dish manufacturers seem incapable of making a dish that fits a whole number of sheets (i.e. it is always 2x + 1/3x). So I have to then try and break the sheets into thirds to try and fill gaps. Argh. It says "Lasagne" on the dish ffs. Measure the dried sheets before going into production you berks! Let me cook in peace.
  19. Mmm all good stuff, but is it as good as the moustache/mullet combo he's sporting in the first video? Is it? Today I have been mostly downloading some, all or none of the following: Ryan Adams - Come Pick Me Up
  20. Awesome choice Jah. Have been downloading Dig, Lazarus! Dig! today - will have a listen later.
  21. One of my all time favourites Keef. Just don't watch it before doing jury service.....you'll want to top yourself!
  22. You take that back about Spooks! It was bloody marvellous and the season cliffhanger was a real "Noooooo!" moment. And as a hetrosexual male I didn't think anyone would replace the Penry-Jones in my heart but Lucas brings a dash of of Timothy Dalton to what was a Roger Moore lead male. Oh, and, errr, that blond sort is a bit of alright. As for Survivors....I sucumbed to the virus and gave up after episode 2. Along with 90% of the television viewing public.
  23. She looks like butter wouldn't melt..... ....but we all know the truth really! ;-)
  24. Is that what you've been doing these past few months?
