  2. Arsenal 2 v Fulham 0 Chelsea 2 v Wigan 1 Everton 2 v West Brom 0 Middlesbrough 1 v Liverpool 1 Man u 2 v Spurs 1 (really depends on how high man u have got this on list of priorities, and what team they put out)
  3. Just I've made a concerted effort to tone down my responses to postings and be decidely less agressive, I see others have taken it upon themselves to slate each others teams. As I said before, I thought it was just me. Like Le Boss once said, we all think we have the best wife at home.
  4. The whole towns laughing at me - Harold Melvin & the blue notes

My bad, but nobdy seems to stick to how this is supposed to flow any more
  6. Take the Last train to Clarksville - Monkees
  7. Good stuff & very funny, a bit like the stuff the guys who put the Arsenal fanzines do with players from other clubs. It's what makes following football so great.

  9. I think his price tag has weighed heavily on him. His situation & performance reminds me very much of Clinton Morrison. Clinton was great in the Championship and rubbish in the Prem, different scenario I'll grant you but the level of performance when they made a step up is very, very similar.
  10. Adebayor no question, on his day he is to qoute Andy Gray "Unplayable", his ability to win aerial battles is terrific, yet Bendtner with his height seems to get out muscled most of the time. And as for the pink booted ones first touch, well let's just say I've seen wardrobes that are more deft.
  11. Whatever passes for popular culture in the US is what passes for British Culture as we seem to adopt any old crap they have with gay abandon.
  12. The thing is with Bendtner every now and then he scores an important goal for us, I would have shipped him out last season but there you go. I felt for Eboue last night because he grafted and ran his socks off, then he makes him self a great chance with a lot of hard work and misses the target. But at least he sweated blood for the cause. Something sadly lacking in most modern players, who are paid huge sums of money and as a result have no real hunger for the game.
  13. We were very wasteful last night, nobody more so than Bendtner. Realistically it should have been at least 3 nil. For some one who shouts the odds about how good he is and how he should be in the side week in week out, he should perform a lot better. Eboue was good last night until he missed the sitter that he made for himself, so at least he has an excuse.
  14. While the role of the manager is important, the performance of a team is down to the 11 men out on the pitch. Once they are on the pitch and the whistle has been blown the manager can do precious little to determine or influence the outcome of a game. A club is always far more important than any manager or player. Who cares if Ferguson, or Wenger, or anyone else for that matter is remembered in years to come as long as our clubs are still around for us to follow with passion, to debate over, moan about, and to revel in their success as and when it happens. Football is dissected far too clinically these days, especailly for a game which is so simple to play, watch and enjoy.
  15. Uncle Alex, a nasty ranting alchollic, surely not? He is a greatly misunderstod philanthropist who should run for mayor of this parish.
  16. I wonder,.....what do you think the world and his wife would have said, and how would the media have eracted if Fergie ahd said exactly the same things. I think it would have been something like "good old fergie, still playing his mind games" but because it's not him, it's seen as someone losing the plot. Strange that, don't you think?
  17. Honest 'Arry, a more inappropriate moniker I've yet to come across.:))
  18. Was what Rafa said really a rant?? I thought he was cool, calm & collected, and not far wide of the mark, just foolish enough to say it at the wrong time as far as his club are concerned, but he had some fair points. He should have left it until the end of the season though, but there you go. You couldn't call it a rant as it was delivered in a venonomous, ranting way.
