    How much !

    Asda -12 for ?1
  2. I searched the Lewisham Council website to try and find you a solution, I copied the link and pasted the list of organisations, I realise not all are suitable, but clearly when someone tries to help, you don't appreciate the assistance and rather leave a sarcastic message and throw it back at them. So I suggest you get on and find your own solution and stop whinging on here.
  3. Just to assist you in case you have not done so as yet! https://www.lewisham.gov.uk/myservices/socialcare/children/Pages/FIS-A-to-Z.aspx Horniman Museum Brent Knoll School Forest Hill Library Adult Learning Lewisham St George?s Church of England Primary School Dalmain Primary School Fairlawn Primary School Holy Trinity CE Primary School Horniman Primary School Kilmorie Primary School Double Jab Boxing Club Hillyfielders Football Forest Hill Thai Boxing Club Perrymount Primary School St William of York Catholic Primary School Stillness Infant School Stillness Junior School Forest Hill School HomeSchool Project Horniman Museum & Gardens Platform One Platform One Music Project Ackroyd Community Toy Library Young Lewisham Project Association for Pastoral Care in Mental Health The Cassel Centre Lewisham Autism Support It Kickz Music Project Job Centre Plus - Forest Hill Voluntary Care Centre 11th Forest Hill Scout Group 17th Forest Hill Scout Group Sydenham Garden Kilmorie Children's Centre 12th Forest Hill Scout Group Our Lady and St Philip Neri RC Infant School Carol Losinski Forest Hill Jobcentre Plus Marya Wright Family Action Parents as Partners (Family Action) The Cottage Day Nursery
  4. So the Labour Party are currently screwed, the Conservatives are in fighting amongst themselves with Osborne showing no understanding of those on Disability benefits and should be in receipt of PiP's (when they should have been on the up and winning at the dispatch box), which leaves The Liberals, not credible at the moment with so few seats and UKIP - has Farage already peaked? What next?

  6. that's harsh, funny I'll admit, but harsh
  7. Ok, if so Admin please close or delete.
  8. Should we stay in the EU or should we go out of the EU?
  9. Oh please Not Boris, he bumbles from one gaff to another, we'll become the laughing stock of Europe, no edit that to the laughing stock of the world. If McDonnell takes over from Corbyn, he could give Cameron a real verbal fight over the dispatch box, plus if the Tories ditch Osborne (now theirs hoping) things could be different and become even more interesting.
  10. Would Labour be any better with McDonnell as leader?
  11. Bit of a sticky situation!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Agreed, unless you drive, both Eliot Bank and Haseltine are a good trek from Failrlawn behind Sainsbury's. Are there any other primaries just on the other side of Forest Hill BUT nearer than those in Sydenham? This has nothing to do with tax breaks for the "rich" whatever you define as rich, or The Conservative Party. This is to do with a Primary recognising that it can no longer subsidise the nursery and a Labour run local Authority not having funds available for the nursery either, as they are using the funds on other services THEY deem need it more. If you don't repair the roads, it causes further damage and ultimately will lead to accidents.
  13. This is indeed very sad to hear. You would have thought someone would have heard something, presumably no alarm. I do hope they are able to get things as straight as they can, so they are able to re-open, what is the now the only other shop on that parade.

Case in point it has NOTHING to do with disability benefits )ps IMP they should NOT be cut) tax breaks - No not good but it has happened. Anyhow whether you > share my politics or not please sign my petition > :) You never know one day you might need that > nursery for your children, grandchildren etc... I agree with you that benefits should not be cut for those who rightfully need them and I probably don't agree with yoor politics but do think some of what McDonnell makes sense. But getting back to your petition. Fairlawn and Lewisham have agreed its closing, there are alternatives available, Heber I believe, so the choice is to try that or if as you say the other primaries are unwilling, them potentially a private nursery may take it over, it might be demolished and converted into flats/houses or Sainsburys might be interested in the site. Who knows. Some how I doubt you'll be successful on this occasion.
  15. yep, that's right, blame it on the Government.. As I suggested in an earlier post I suggest you speak with the management teams at Horniman, Holy Trinity, St Barts and Kilmorie Primary Schools and Lewisham Council The reason it is being closed is because Fairlawn can no longer put resources into something that is not being fully utilised and so is using up their financial resources. Sorry but it's a no brainer, UNLESS the other local primary schools mentioned above are willing to step in and take over running it.
  16. 146 and counting
  17. Vik, I'm just putting forward a suggestion for those on here who would like it retained, if they wish to achieve their aim then I suggest they arrange a meeting with the schools and get talking. From a commercial perspective, if a venture is is costing more to run than it is generating, the only logical action to take is to close it down.
  18. Has anyone considered approaching the management teams at Horniman, Holy Trinity, St Barts and Kilmorie Primary Schools and Lewisham Council to see if they are interested in forming a partnership to take over the running of the nursery? Perhaps this could provide a way forward if their budgets would allow this to happen.

Being part of a large supermarket chain, Cooperative Food should immediately deal with any rodent issues discovered in the store, surely this should be a priority for the staff, store and area managers.
  20. mis leading thread title
  21. There are signs up saying areas have knotwood and do not enter. Anyone ignoring these signs is then potentially spreading knotweed to not just other areas within the cemetery but also into areas OUTSIDE of the cemetery. The only people who should be in these areas are contractors working for the Council. And I suggest the cemetery protest clearly explain the difference between public and private graves.
  22. Why can they not take on more doctors to see patients or extend the surgery opening hours? This would allow more patients to be seen and hence reduce the delay in obtaining an appointment.
  23. Patient Services Officer, really!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we have Officers as receptionists. I wonder who came up with that daft job title, perhaps that's why it's so difficult getting through the "gatekeepers" to see a GP at this practice.
  24. Rather than the cemetery protest group (CPG) continuously reposting the same information, it would be very constructive and much more helpful if they would answer the questions asked of them and which EDAus has summarised for them to make it easier. And please do not say that we can email you directly as their is a major issue of trust, particularly as EDF contributors do not know who in the CPG are responding and who in the CPG has access to the blanche cameron account. If this seems cynical it is because of a CPG members behaviour on here and other media sources that resulted in him being banned from EDF.
