  1. What is wrong with walking and/or using the P12
  2. Can only praise the consultants at Kings College Hospital, all very caring and providing an excellent service.
  3. It's dbboy, not dboy. Secondly, why don't you come and see the congestion problems first hand, rather than just dismise these.
  4. James and Gavin, as local councillors is their something you can do to help these people find sheltered housing?
  5. There has been NO official consultation with residents and representative associations at the Forest Hill Road / Honor Oak Park Road end of the route. You appear to be focussing on this for residents in East Dulwich. Why not focus on improving the P12 service rather than banging on about extending the 63. Forest Hill Road already has the 63, 363 and P13. Honor Oak Park has both the P4 and P12. Have you seen Forest Hill Road and Honor Oak Park in the rush hour? In particular the lengthy traffic jams on these roads that already exist, partly exacerbated by the vast number of traffic lights and road humps. The sharp bend on Honor Oak Park is compounded by the parked cars there. You seem to have an objective and don't seem to either undersatnd or appreciate the traffic impications. The roads already can't cope. Your proposal will make it a hell of a lot worse. If people want to access the Overground why don't they do this through Peckham Rte station when the Overground arrives.
  6. So Gavin, you said I mis-read your posting. I read what you wrote. You stated "I've knocked on lots of doors in the area and spoke to lots of people and it is very clear to me that this would be a popular change." Now it transpires you "were out on the nunhead side of the ward last Sat. I was just giving that as an example of our activity. (Although some people are interested in the extension there, it's fair to say most interest is on the East Dulwich\Honor Oak side.)" Why don't you name the roads - because you can't. IMO you're using this issue to try and generate support for yourself. Do you use the 63 or need to get from HOP station to east dulwich? I guess not.
  7. Gavin - Just answer the question, what are the names of the roads where you knocked at 109 houses/flats? What you have done is an attempt to stoke up support. Where is the independant official consultation? NONE Can't you understand THE ROADS WILL NOT COPE WITH ADDITIONAL TRAFFFIC AND CAUSE GRIDLOCK. Why don't people use the P12 if they want to get to HOP station like every body else instead of wanting a special bus service. In fact why don't you look to either improve the P12 bus service or run a every third P12 as a shuttle service from the Kings Arms through to HOP station which would satisfy your desire.
  8. I can only praise Peckham Vision for the work they are doing to restore the station to its former greatness. Keep up the good work. I will try to get a long on 14th March for the exhibition. In its heyday the pavements of Rye Lane used to be four deep with people busily shopping. IMO the reason Rye Lane has changed so much is the rents being charged by landlords. The shop owners open all hours to try and make a living. Like it or not everything changes and nothing stays the same. It is surprising how high house prices are in the area.
  9. I'm trying to offer a compromise
  10. trizza, what has Woodvale got to do with this? How many people are we talking about that need to get from Peckham to HOP station? As I said in an earlier post, why not run every third P12 direct from either the Heaton Arms or Kings Arms direct up Peckham Rye, Forest Hill Road and onto HOP station.
  11. Over the last 5 - 6 weeks in the morning my experience has been that the 63 has been terminated at either Ludgate Circus or Clerkenwell Green when I've wanted to get to Kings Cross. On the return I have noticed a lot of buses being terminated at Peckham Rye. The reason is buses running late. Amy extension will further exacerbate this situation.
  12. anna_r / trizza, Honor Oak Park would not cope with the additional traffic. You are kidding me that you can't either walk from Mundania to Brenchley Gardens and get the P12 or walk to HOP station!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anna_r Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Agree with all of this. 14. Which area exactly have you knocked lots of doors in? 15. Where is the consultation with local people to find out what they want? As said before any extension will cause significant delays in both directions from Forest Hil Road, along Honor Oak Park to Honor Oak Park Station. Clearly Labour councillors have no understanding that the roads will not cope with the additional buses on these stretches of road. If we get more winters as we have had in the last two yeasr the 63 will just not run at all. The Stand at Forest Hill Road already gets busy in the morning. Any opportunity of getting a seat will be gone resulting in either passengers not being able to board the bus (if as many people as you beleive will travel that section from Honor Oak Park Station to Forest Hill Road, where's the data) or will have to stand. It seems to me Labour Concillors are interferring purely for politcal gain. Oh how I hope the people of London see sense and you lot don't get elected. Furthermore how can the Deputy Candidate be Chair of Transport for London??????
  16. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ALWAYS CALL THE POLICE IF YOU SEE ANY SUSPIOUS ACTIVITY. IT IS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY.
  17. That's very harsh, she may be posh but that shouldn't be held against her.
  18. that'll make it more packed then the Forest Hill Tavern!!!!!

    Dead Fox

Suggest calling the council who should collect and dispose of the fox, don't touch without wearing gloves.
  20. Melt butter, add breadcrumbs stir til breadcrumbs are cooked. Pour over the boiled drained brussel sprouts, or add teh sprouts to teh butter mixture and coat. Very simple but lovely way to serve sprouts.
  21. And their I was thinking iit was the season of good will to one and all.

    Ham. Help.

Am collecting a smoked collar of bacon on Friday for soaking, simmering, glazing and then baking. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  23. I remember a time when at Christmas they used to walk alon teh road, stand under teh street light and play carols, oh they were the days.
  24. Appreciate your concerns, what time did the mugging happen and which side of Langton Rise was it (Underhill Road side or Westwood Park)?

    Ham. Help.

If you either google Spanish Ham, or otheraise pop into one of the local deli's in East or West Dulwich. Alternatively if you would consider italian ham, I know a small continenatal store on Caledonian road that could help you out. Also you could contact W.Bunting, (0207 639 3718) butcher on Peckham Park Road who maybe able to order one for you?
