Newspapers are the same, they're not waiting for people to die, it's just preparation in case someone dies irrespective of age... -
How about a Fawlty Towers-esque staircase?... Or a Penrose staircase?...

Showing the same programme on two channels is very North Korea, by all means show different tributes etc, but not the same one. And why have they suspended BBC4? I'm guessing the BBC is frit it might get accused of being 'unpatriotic' by the usual nationalistic suspects. Surely the big question tonight is, will a catfish win The Circle?... -

It will be difficult to close a 12-point lead at this stage of the season, only chance is to get a good double-point score, something which has evaded me so far...

And he was spot on about the difference between patriotism and nationalism...

I personally like the 'floating' effect of an exposed wooden handrail, always worth investigating what quality of handrail you've got, a lot of period properties used good quality wood e.g. oak, mahogany, for the handrail and cheaper wood for the spindles. Again personally, I'd avoid a gloss finish, looks too institutional, matt finishes are far more forgiving of blemishes, eggshell is a good compromise. I'd also be very wary if you intend to paint the treads too unless you intend to have a runner, as the last thing you want is a slippy finish...

*polls are needed

That's a good point alex, totally forgot that Scottish Parliament elections are run on a form of PR. According to this article...https://www.holyrood.com/comment/view,what-impact-could-alex-salmonds-alba-party-have-on-the-election...polls are needed (some due this weekend) to see what/if any effect voting for Alba will have. The article does suggest votes for Alba could help unionist parties in certain regions, but it also suggests that Alba is targeting pro-Indy, socially conservative, Brexit voters, so I presume they mean voters that want to vote Indy but would never vote for the SNP because they consider them to be left wing. All ifs, buts and maybes at this stage...

A better time to ask that question will be after the May elections...
-
This smacks more of personal than political, even Farage realised that by standing at the last GE, votes for his party would undermine the chances of the Tories winning and thereby Brexit completing. The bigger the SNP's win the more chance there'll be of Johnson being forced politically to agree to a second referendum...

malumbu Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > But this was a video of a real event > and don't see an issue with it being shared > whether it is from a website of disrepute or not. Isn't the problem here that when something is shared from a disreputable and/or shadily funded site, it quickly leads onto other stuff that might not be 'real'. It's why so many people end up getting lost down rabbit holes. By limking/sharing an item to these sites your inadvertently promoting/advocating all the shady/conspiracy nonsense they try to peddle...

Bulb are very good but they've been trying the hard sell recently on putting in smart meters, has anyone else had a similar experience about their smart meters not being compatible with other companies?...

I thought it was only possible to peek after you've locked your own predictions and therefore can't tactically change your prediction. Although I guess someone's mate could take a peek and relay the info back to them, doubt that would happen on the EDF unless Uncleglen joined in...#ABU :)
