  1. At first supportive of his wive's regression therapy, Mr Loopy Lou begins to have grave concerns when she dishes up milk and bread for supper for the 5th night running... http://asset-a.soupcdn.com/asset/9618/9407_a744_390.jpeg Any chance you can come back as Fanny Craddock next time darling?
  2. I'm glad to hear that you've sought help as it was quite clear recently that you were slipping back into old Forum ways. Do your dressmaking skills extend to inside leg measurements? I only ask as I need to give accurate info to an online suit-making company and would appreciate your hands-on expertise...

  6. It's not illegal for joe public or a handy person to do some electrical work such as changing a ceiling rose or face plate on an existing light switch/power socket, but if someone is unknowledgeable/unsure/nervous etc about tackling such a simple repair, it's best to get an electrician in for peace of mind...
  7. That's where Bob Buzzard lives. Bob's away scouting. Mrs B's after a rear extension. Kevin McCloud seen in the vicinity. Join the dots...
  8. Looks like you took my lunchtime drink advice John :) I'd argue that it's much better and healthier for democracy to have an owner that is happy to cater for both readerships of the Brexit divide than solely being in favour of one side. Of course it would be much better if all papers were independent and just reported news factually and impartially. I'm personally more worried about social media and how that is preventing rational, civilised debate...
  9. It gets better, David Mellor has rocked up looking like a poor man's Andy Warhol tribute act while the musical box in the background plays The Red Flag...
  10. Sky news presenter just had a Jeremy *unt faux pas, meanwhile someone in the background is playing some 'tinkling' tunes, all very surreal...and fitting.
  11. Didn't realise that Cummings and a lot of the ERG hate each other. During the leadership contest when there were whispers he was involved in Johnson's campaign, these were denied as a smear by the Raab camp in order to keep the ERGers onside and not transfer their support to Raab. More fun and games ahead then from the party that continues to eat itself...

  13. You might find it's a problem in the wet as 'slick' tyres have less grip than the fatter, knobbly ones, especially as the back wheel is more prone to slip as it carries more weight, thus why it usually wears down first. I use Balfes and they have always talked through what they are going to do and why...

It's quite endearing to see you're still clinging on to and peddling this 3yo Brexiter trope that the EU will fold and 'give us a deal as they need us more than we need them etc etc etc'. Bless...

Unlikely though. As much as I would like it to happen for the comedy value of seeing Johnson's face, it's very unlikely that there will be a no confidence vote as soon as he takes office of PM, the Guakeward squad are far more likely to hold fire until nearer the Brexit deadline. Johnson will try and save face in all this and let Parliament dictate events, so expect a no confidence vote and subsequent election in the Autumn, thus a viable reason for yet another Brexit extension...

I don't think you can look at the Euro polls in isolation or as some sort of benchmark regarding voting intentions, as they have always been seen as a vehicle for a protest vote, a free hit, thus leading to skewed results, and that applies to both sides of the Brexit divide. I also don't agree that the parties were split 50/50 in the Euros along Leave and Remain lines. It was clear that the Brexit Party was a vote for Leave, and likewise the LibDems/Greens and Welsh/Scots Nats were clearly a vote for Remain. As for the rest who voted Tory and Labour, you can't say for certain if they were Leavers or Remainers. What in effect you've got is a 3-way split, a third for a hardcore Brexit i.e. No Deal, and a third for a hardcore Remain i.e. Revoke, and the rest in the middle who would probably accept a softer Brexit, abut when push comes to shove, a majority of those would vote for Remain over No Deal, which backs up the 55 - 45% in favour of Remain that the long-term tracker polls are showing. > Btw it?s Loopy Lou not ?the loopy? It was a compliment, as in 'the Donald' or our very own self-appointed 'the fox'...
  22. And for the loopy saying that the polls haven't changed, independent long-term tracking trend begs to differ...https://britainelects.com/polling/europe/

  24. I've long though that Johnson is more likely to go for a 2nd ref than people realise, simply because it may be the only way to keep himself in power. It's very unlikely that he would win a GE, I also think he's at great risk of losing his own seat too, and he'll be aware of that. So offering a 2nd ref as a counter to Tory rebels voting him down might be the only card he can play to stay in power, No Deal v Remain...
