  1. limited (ie no) post Bassano St. I have canceled a no. of magazine subscriptions because they are just never delivered on time (if at all)
  2. to be honest at ?3.00 a pint of really decent bitter, why would you need to (unless you're craving a pint of "fizzy disco pop")
  3. none this week, ED central. v frustrating.
  4. This happened in Australia, great story, maybe he?s fled to the UK? https://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensland/brisbanes-alleged-poo-jogger-resigns-from-corporate-role/news-story/54b10461c8d14018bdd7ffd05ab9e43d
  5. James enjoy your summer and many thanks for all of your hard work geh
  6. 11-13.00. CPZ eh? What will that do for: The gym The cinema The market The host of restaurants and pubs Paying an additional tax to not park outside your house/on your street should be strongly resisted.
  7. Glad to see this in action over the weekend. Complete parking chaos to the detriment of both residents and business. Given the proposed speed humps were never installed in my road but the double yellow lining has been I can only assume that southwark have a single and focussed agenda, the eventual introduction of a cpz All very disappointing if inevitable
  8. Err, not sure they can see whether you have the latest model or an old brick prior to snatching it from your hand?
  9. c. 19:10 tonight I was just leaving my house, opened the door to find a late 40s poss early 50's chap standing there 'I was just about to knock I'm a window cleaner'. He did attempt to show me a card in his wallet but as I was dashing out I said I wasn't interested. He scurried off but didn't stop at any of the other houses on the street. Probably nothing at all and legit but thought it strange. Be aware. I did call the 101 no.
  10. Gemma Arterton in the Palmerston apparently. And I'm not.
  11. Similar development proposed on garage site at Bassano Street
  12. really, maybe I dreamt it?, although, I was already awake, and heard a plane passing over (otherwise I would't have posted that I did!) do you doubt me? geh
  13. first plane this morning 3.16 am
  14. personally (and as a cyclist)I'm not massively keen on these, visually very poor, and inadequate in terms of capacity. I think there are c. 20 houses in my street, I'm, looking at 2 bikes in my hallway with another 2 in my garage, only 2 spaces left.... just my thoughts before you shout!
  15. where are you renting from Southwark for the? Mine's close to ?50 pw??
  16. In my view completely unnecessary on back roads EG Blackwater/Melbourne Grove. Reducing speed on these roads would be a more welcomed initiative, if anything cars parked up to the junction forces drivers to slow down and turn into roads more slowly. Waste of money with the knock on effect of making peoples daily lives more difficult. Before you shout, I don't drive a car, but ride a bike (both kinds!!)
  17. Home grown chain comes back to the lane. There's a quandary! (I think it's a great thing btw)
  18. they should have their own special song!
  19. The only thing scary is the continual poor stock control.
  20. Wasn't it wonderful to see so many people at the game in spite of the dreadful weather. Well done DHFC!

    Scraped car

Thanks very much to whoever scraped my car in College Rd this morning. You know you did it judging by the damage and white paint you left behind.
  22. Great crowd too
  23. James Land banking is a myth. Developers don't sit on land to capitalise on notional value increases, they build and more importantly sell, which enables further land purchases.
  24. Very bad last couple of days. Def oppose further airport expansion, do believe we need to make a bold choice and build a new airport in the estuary. That will win me some friends on here no doubt!
  25. It's like Baltimore
