Further to their House Arrest Sly and Reggie have been confined even further: restricted to the Lounge... in the East Dulwich Forum. Having created a bunker in the Lounge they are still functioning however, managing to release the single on May 28 2012 'Dub Save The Queen-dancehall queen mix) via Amazon and itunes. They also managed to slip out under cover of darkness to film the
. Powerful forces within the community ( the EDF and Goose Green Fair) are clearly displeased and the noose is slowly tightening.
Market research companies are restricted by law not to offer children money for services. I love the good old days by the way and Brass Eye but in this case it is important to look at the facts and yes...keep calm.
Paying children for information (signatures, school year, names, age, facebook details) in public parks is not normal. But David Carnell (and others) you are welcome to urge your children to take no notice of this thread.
What made you think the parents didnt go straight to the police in this case? This thread is about asking your kids about something not about anything else.
Loz For the record the parents involved in this case took option b and d first and then a and have not used option c yet Not sure what why you think its difficult for anyone.
There was a guy doing a 'survey' getting information from kids in Dulwich park yesterday. He walked away with signatures and names and school details and paid them cash. Doesnt sound good does it? Please ask your kids if they have been approached.
GG...I named Groundwork as an example of a charity and not necessarily the one in question. I havent maligned anyone (yet) but I do appreciate that you are trying to protect me...thankyou. A proper allegation can only really be made with the help of those in the project and I can understand why they would not want to come forward. I am also aware that under the heading 'consultancy fees' the charity would cover themselves in all the bullshit they can muster and justify handling the cash in the way they do.
Well I dont want to land the head of the project in the poo. But my information comes directly from the leader of the project. It is also backed up by a local councillor.
The money all goes in 'consultancy' fees. I doubt anyone involved directly in the project will make a fuss (who wants to rock the boat?) but it still stinks.
You will not believe this. Popped into the Post Office. The guy behind the counter said "Oh you were in last week, you paid me too much, there was an extra tenner, here it is". He then gave me the tenner! What are the chances of that then?
Did you know that if you get a grant from a 'charity' like Groundwork, they keep 90% of the money and give you 10%. They then lend you the services of a 'consultant' who tries to help you spend the 10%! What local people need is cash to invest in projects not leeches who talk about creating 'sustainable communities' while taking the most of the money for themselves.
