  2. Indeed. But by the time you've noticed I'm smoking on the cameras, I've finished my cig and got on a train. The mob of hardline reactionary imbiciles worries me far more than any bin-stabbing innocents. I hate that fact that I even live in the same postcode as half the people on this thread.

If I'm outdoors and I fancy smoking, then I will - unbelievable that people think you should be able to ban smoking outdoors...
  5. I noticed 2 boys firing an RPG at some recycling facilities in Peckham Rye Park yesterday, I hope this isn't another sad indication of the continual slide of our society into lawlessness!

Your're in a far better area to be honest... just call it Peckham though : )
  8. 'East Dulwich borders' is a good one, if you're an estate agent. Or maybe 'Gowletti Village'

For god's sake - I used to have a Gurkha knife, Chinese Stars, and an air rifle - not to mention the aforementioned explosives tinkering. We used to throw the Gurkha knife full pelt at a bit of fence in the woods near my house to 'practice our survival skills' or somesuch. Funnily enough, it's what you do when you're a kid. we never got round to stabbing anyone. I used to listen to tons of gangsta rap but never once owned a gun. Now I have some kind of wanky media job and live in curtain-twitch, SE London. that's my story

Of course it's not like this forum to exaggerate details...

If it was any better people would moan about their money being squandered on higher production values - when there's bobbies on the beat to pay for or something. Being a council is a constant catch-22 - you're going to piss off a proportion of people most of the time.
  13. TIP: You need to build a Faraday cage to protect yourself - if there's any metal benches about on the Rye they would make good material to build one with.
  14. I've heard there's drugs and everything. Gangs on drugs. Gangs on drugs with knives.

Tell me about it! I reckon you should be able to just have anyone you don't like the look of locked up forever.
  16. Someone from ED couldn't possibly have stolen them? Or Nunhead? Or Barking?
  17. Much nicer than 'proper' east Dulwich round there, and you're near the Gowlett. Win.
  18. thexwinglessxbird Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Many of them are, but aparently these ones are > not. Which suprises me, considering the area. Greater London?

I'm sure they could employ a heavyweight designer, features editor, Quark expert etc, crowd-source their editorial content from a Twitter cloud....etc... which would cost even more money. As with a lot of council things - it's a comprimise.

Most of the people it's aimed at don't have the luxury of sitting in the garden phoning the council planning department every hour on the hour over a bottle of chablis I'm sure. Anything that I don't approve of, or can't see the value in is a complete waste of money.
  23. I imagine we the voters asked for recycling schemes. Imagine if ED didn't have one in place? There'd be a revolution. Or at least loads of angry threads on here.
  24. Hopefully you'll read it, get a warm fuzzy feeling about what a nice place you live and vote for the ruling party next time elections come around. That's all they're there for.
