  1. Check out Anne Tyler?s books. She?s recently published a new one. The Accidental Tourist is wonderful and how I discovered her.
  2. See if you go in with someone else and book a council pickup and split the cost. You are allowed a few items for a set price.
  3. Offer it as a dog bed?
  4. M&S had a queue outside on Friday lunchtime. Is that normal now?

  7. Nice job Mirash!
  8. Can someone confirm that there aren?t any signs or cameras yet regarding Townley Road access to Dulwich Village? I couldn?t find the relevant notice on the Southwark website.
  9. Utterly dreadful. As Suesaid, how did they get in to the house?
  10. Look out for Musk?s sausages.
  11. Please name the surgery.
  12. You should look in areas on the Overground East London Line, as Ginster mentioned - As well as Peckham Rye and Denmark Hill, look at Brockley, Forest Hill, Honor Oak, Sydenham, Penge and Crystal Palace. There are a lot of budget supermarkets like Lidl, Aldi and Iceland. Other supermarkets like Waitrose, Sainsbury, Asda and Tesco all do home delivery, and that includes Iceland. There are car clubs here to rent a car for use if you don?t have one at first. Look into the use of Oyster cards on Transport for London on the TFL website - Transport for London. www.tfl.gov.uk
  13. Did you take it back? Otherwise you could have toasted it.

I looked at the Southwark website and noticed that the 12 month period runs from March to April. So you still pay the same amount for 1 month or 12 months. That is ludicrous.

Waiting times. Unreasonable. GP's > unskilled. Receptionists. Rude. Melbourne Grove Surgery doesn?t exist anymore. It is now called Tessa Jowell and is in the new health centre in the grounds of Dulwich Hospital in East Dulwich Grove.
  16. Best bakeries in my opinion are Bread and Butler in Deptford and Aries Bakehouse in Brixton.

How much is the subscription and how any months does it cover?
  18. Agree. Was very informative.
  19. I thought they took them away last year.
  20. Did you find some?
  21. Excellent. I?ve been aware of this fir years. Street furniture etc can also cause problems for blind people.
  22. Thanks for all the answers. It?s good to know that they weren?t a scam. I still don?t think it?s a great idea to do chugging door to door. I don?t usually open my door to strangers.
  23. She had great stuff.
  24. My doorbell rang a little while ago and I asked who it was. A male voice said ?The Children?s Deaf Society?. I said no thanks and he left. I did not see what he looked like. Making doorstep calls for a charity in these times seems very peculiar and I felt it was a way of seeing if anyone was in. Anyone else had this?
