  1. Yes, had it last Saturday/Sunday. I assumed it was dodgy calamari from the Sea Cow on Friday night :S
  2. Shouldn't this be in the Wanted/Offered section?
  3. Bummer if yours gets damaged, but the "London Kiss" to test if you are close enough in the space to the car in front/behind is all part of driving, no? (It wasn't me btw)
  4. It would be fantastic if we could go to our nearest schools (Heber, Goodrich, St Johns, Dog Kennel Hill etc etc), but sadly it seems that no matter how close you live you are now less and less likely to get into a school in ED, which is what is freaking people out. Heber was even on the BBC news the othr night as an example.
  5. Given that ED has more kids per square inch than anywhere on the planet (it would seem) and all parents want the best for their children, its hardly surprising that schooling is a hot topic. Especially when the kids are being shipped off to Peckham/New Cross at primary level so can't go to school here. It does rather freak me out though.
  6. Oooh, I was spitting mad today. Somebody in Dulwich Village was putting out a lovely set of shelves when I was driving past (clearly posher over there lol) - by the time I turned the car round it had been snaffled by another passer by! You've got to be quick off the mark.... Incidentally, the tip at Vale St is only taking recyclable items from 1 April, so get rid this week if you need to or you will have to go up Walworth Rd or over to Battersea.
  7. 2oz of midget gems and some other sweeties from Hope & Greenwood.
  8. When we moved house I put lots of things outside my place in ED and was delighted they got taken by new owners. A couple of things were left and I took them to the tip in Vale St. I think its brilliant - like a local Freecycle :) I hope whoever picked up the ailing houseplant I couldnt be bothered to rescue the other day loves it more than I did too!
  9. And stay at homes Mums who have nowt better to do all day....
  10. But the Observer had the yummy food supplement with it today *sigh*.
  11. Mine has just turned up on Henslowe.
  12. Joy of joys! The lovely Ocado men have just been to replenish my bare cupboards. And they brought me a free paper (Times, natch) and a bottle of lovely wine to apologise for not coming last night. The children can eat again - hurray!
  13. No collection on Henslowe today.
  14. Boo hoo! My delivery which was due for 9pm tonight has been cancelled. Its now coming in the morning instead. I have had to *gasp* walk to the shops myself this morning!
  15. The idiot cycling yesterday was probably Mr Mellors. He did say how surprised he was that there were no other cyclists on the road. Um, YES, there's a reason for that you spanner!! He has cycled in today as well. I really wish he wouldn't.
  16. Mine's booked fopr 9pm tomorrow and it was free. If you are in during the day there are often free slots as well.
  17. Ocado = Tesco price match, free delivery and I had a 15% off voucher this week. Very credit crunch friendly!
  18. Funnily enough I was concerned about the same thing (SO middle class east Dulwicch lol). And then, magically, I saw the van out and about at about 8am this morning. Like Santa's foody sleigh. So never fear, it looks like our fairtrade hand knitted museli will arrive after all :)
  19. Mr Mellors still cycled into Bank at 6.30am this morning. He swears the main roads are ok, although I am not convinced!
  20. Yep, I'm off Barry Rd, and ours smells really "bleachy" too (and I had better not be pregnant as I already have a 2 year old and a 3 month old!).
  21. Mr Barry's on Barry Rd (Peckham Rye end).
  22. So essentially, its all YOUR fault if he turns into a paedo rapist bum slapping perv in years to come. Ok?
  23. They woke me up at about 4.45am this morning and have been consistently bad since then (hence the early morning post!), and we are in a house with new double glazing etc. They are pretty terrible to be honest.
  24. Sadly they don't sell organic cornflakes in Somerfield, and the aisles are a bit narrow for a 3 wheel pram. Now, if only we had a Waitrose or M&S food...
  25. I am quite speechless at some of the load of old balls that has been spoken on this thread.
