  1. I think she means the crap unsellable stuff is binned
  2. I can't afford it but I think it could work in ED so good luck to them
  3. To be honest i don't know much about it but I just went on their website and their logo is Jack Wills, University Outfitters. I had pictured it being rugby shirts in various pink hues but it's not, some of it is quite nice.
  4. Does anyone know if you can book double appointments at any surgeries, like at the dentist when you've been told to book in a double appointment? Just wondering.

Apologies I thought you were saying you thought DMC book 6 in instead of a usual 5, but my mistake. I always assumed (although it is purely a guess) that every 2 hours or so there would be an empty slot to try and cover for potential over running appointments. I just don't see why if this is such a wonderful solution why they/all GPs don't already use one.
  6. I don't think anyone, unless they have asked DMC, can say whether they see 6 patients each hour, although I appreciate you did say it was your belief, not a fact. I just do not think health can be fitted into an successful algorithm there are far too many variables. Family history, age, sexually active etc.
  7. Jack Wills is for rich Bristol University students IMO
  8. Off topic but Smiler and Brendan have reminded me of my dads speech at my sisters wedding where he said my other sisters name instead of the brides three times! We'll never let him forget that one.
  9. Thanks HB, I think I need to get me a satire detector - they sound very handy. I'm a patient at DMC and it's by far the best practice I've been a patient at. I always (unless urgent) book a 6.50pm appointment in advance and yes sometimes I have to wait a very long time but that's why I take a book. Sometime my appointment has taken 2 mins, sometimes 20 mins so there's no way of timing everything perfectly at a doctors.
  10. Congratulations LYM and FLG :)-D
  11. The other weekend a group of 4 people stopped to stare down into our front garden (I was about 20m away up the road at the time) and they stood there for a minute laughing then walked off and I have no idea why since it's quite plain. Just thought I'd share. Front gardens are great though, they really do cheer me up.
  12. best to post this in the "ED councillor can I help thread"
  13. Yep I vote for screens too
  14. It depends which part of ED you live in. FH is marginally closer for me.
  15. My goodness that poor family, they've been through enough already.
  16. Loving the hanging baskets. Thanks barry
  17. I can understand why they have this policy because it all has a knock on effect on the next appointments but seeing the time of day you went in they probably could have cut you a bit of slack. I'm a patient there and so far have been very impressed (apart from not being able to get through on the phone, but I think they all have the same problem).
  18. Currently pain. Next September I will hopefully be training to become a teacher, which will be a bit of both.
  19. ironing with hair straighteners - it takes longer, is not as effective but somehow seems better than getting the ironing board out. rain when I have a brolly
  20. "but it's very easy to become complacent when it comes to personal safety" so very true!
  21. I'm not knocking your post or the seriousness of these crimes, they sound very scary, but I just want to point out that it can happen everywhere and anywhere so any new comers don't be scared of East Dulwich. Hope you don't mind me posting that katkincoop.
