  1. I might be naughty too then. Forgot to say Dulwich Gardening, I love your monthly tips, thank you very much.
  2. I'm new to all this gardening malarkey so I have some possibly stupid questions: Our honesuckle plant was covered in thousands of mini grey insects. I, in my novice panic must do something now role, just chopped off all the insect covered ends and hosed it down. If it happens again do I just buy insecticide and spray any bug covered plants? Some of our trees, particularly our elderflower have patches of sort of fury cotton wool on the bark. No idea if that's a normal or a bad thing? Anyone got any general pearls of gardening wisdom for me? Thanks
  3. Clothes that shrink in the wash Clothes that stretch in the wash. Today I am wearing slightly too tight top, a baggy cardigan and a skirt that is trying to fall off.
  4. I always thought she was a Helena not a Helen?
  5. No, unfortunately not, but if she'd have been in ED I think you'd be the winner.
  6. red devil my technique is similar. With cover inside out take both corner of duvet and grab the inside corners of duvet - stand on bed and shake until all lovely.
  7. I'm not sure if it's called a recycling centre now but it definitely has a rubble skip thing - it's the furthest one from where you drive in.
  8. They don't collect paving slabs but it might be worth advertising them as free in the for sale section, we did that and it worked for us.

  11. Well done for getting the license plate. Yesterday near Finsbury park I nearly got hit on the head by an empty strawberry milkshake yazoo bottle thrown out the doors of a bendy bus just as I was walking past. Grr litterbugs.
  12. I went to all girls primary and secondary and then mixed sixth form and I was incredibly distracted (i.e. didn't do much work) at sixth form by all the boys! I think it depends on the child so just go with your instincts.

Oh I hate that too! I also hate it when you put something down for 1 second and someone comes to grab it away.

  17. It depends on how much you use as to what works out cheapest and it was a few weeks ago now so things have probably changed by now. The thought of energy bills getting much higher is quite scary!
  18. Another option is to switch within your supplier (if it happens to pop up amongst the cheapest on a comparison site). I switched from web save 3 with british gas to web saver 7 because it's cheaper but I will get ?50 credit on my account after 6 months because I said I was thinking of leaving.
  19. Last year sometime I'm sure there was a thread that sounded very similar to this so could be the same boy. How horrible for you and I hope the police can sort it out asap.
  20. Happy Birthday Lady
  21. Yep I also know the score from the pub I can hear from my desk.
  22. I don't know, but I think a lot of people view a charity shop as a good way to get rid of their crap and don't bother to check the condition of things. Just a guess though.
  23. Ladymuck, do you roll around on the shop floor laughing before the recognise you?
  24. Nothing has been mentioned in my office so I guess that means I'm stuck at my desk until 5.30. Nobbers
