  1. I guess a call or email to Sixt wouldn't hurt, or maybe even letting the police know in-case that helps the van owners insurance case or something. Well done for getting the details etc.
  2. My goodness I am shocked and extremely sad to see you go. I can only assume Southern have decided it's not good for the company (in some crazy way) so I will be writing an email to voice my displeasure/upset. I heart barry!

  5. I find it helpful because it's natural for people to get complacent so a reminder every now and then is good, for me at least. So thank you EDfor
  6. Congratulations to the Brendans
  7. No not a Gaucho, i'd be fat and broke
  8. dyspraxia foundation "Assessment and diagnosis If you suspect you have dyspraxia you should consult your GP, in the first instance, with a view to being referred to an educational or clinical psychologist, occupational therapist, speech therapist or counsellor. Write your symptoms down, take a friend or relation to support you and be persistent. You can refer yourself to a private therapist or doctor." At 24 if you're in education still try and get it diagnosed before you leave uni, because otherwise you'll probably have to pay for all the tests.
  9. For all you web geeks out there:
  10. No, never heard of it. Do you work for a prepaid cashcard, just seems an odd first post that's all?

  12. This morning I didn't realise my watch had lost a few minutes over the weekend and got to the train station 3 minutes late, but luckily the train was 4 minutes late. Oh such joy was had.
  13. He was carrying some edam and crackers and looking for a good picnic spot.
  14. Ew decapitated rat. I don't want to picture a rat liver because I just ate a lovely roast that I would like to stay in my belly for a while longer! I think I need to live in a bubble somewhere.

I know there are rats everywhere in London but they still scare me to death. I think I might email sainsburys and ask them to investigate under their bushes.
  16. I don't think so but like dyslexia you can have it a little bit e.g. you're just a bit crap at spelling and remembering numbers (like me) or more severely where you have to check what you do more thoroughly and takes longer to do some things etc. I don't think it stands against you in so much as applying for jobs etc. (unless you want to be a ballerina and you have no balance because of it!) That BBC link brum posted is quite thorough.
  17. I went to sixth form with a boy/man who was diagnosed with dyspraxia at 18. I haven't seen him for years but certainly back then it didn't affect his life, he was successful and a lovely man too (I did fancy him so maybe I'm biased!).
  18. Ooh yay thank you so much - I can cope with snails!
  19. This is a bit disgusting so don't read on if you don't want to! Has anyone else found very very small curly poos? I climbed down into our front garden today to do a bit of a clean up and near the exit of a drain pipe from the roof was a huge pile of hundreds of tiny curled brown poos. They look about the right size to have come from rats but they are curled so I have no idea what they can be from. Any ideas? Please help, it's grossing me out.
  20. I find you calling him a c word offensive. Of course you're entitled to disagree with expat but name calling is just not on. We're in the drawing room not the pub and I don't think it's right. I agree c'est la vie was not called for but you (in my opinion) could have risen above it and not been so rude.
  21. Um Brendan I think your last sentence is horrible - please edit it. I've reported the message but it being a saturday night admin might have better things to do. Thanks Edited to say the post before, we cross posted.
  22. I had a tenuous link Apparently my great great great great grandfather, Michael Barrett was the last man to be publically hung in England. But... my Mum read a piece on him on the internet recently and it said he didn't have any children! My grannys second cousin was the photographer who took the photo of the tennis player with her bum out.

  24. Out for a drink tonight. Tomorrow as usual I plan to photograph and list stuff to sell on ebay but I've been saying that for about a year so I doubt it will happen. Also have some plants to plant before they all die. Oh yes and I will definitely win the lottery either tonight or tomorrow which will be nice. I LOVE WEEKENDS
  25. cooking doesn't get better than this
