  1. ED police station closes for the night but peckham or a neighbouring police force must cover ED when ED station is closed. I thought (I have no stats, just thoughts!) that criminals often escalate so they may begin with small petrol thefts but eventually will turn into something worse so it's best to try and nip it in the bud early on.
  2. I bought a digital radio so I could listen to 6 music - it's a shame it's closing.
  3. Nobber drivers who drive straight across zebra crossings when someone is already crossing. I gently whacked a car with my shopping bags today because i was so peeved by him attempting to run me down, albeit quite slowly.
  4. They can see if there's some kind of pattern and try and identify/catch the criminals.
  5. Also never leave a sat nav in the car - even the window suction thing.

  7. Maybe ask at his school? Might be worth changing the title of your thread so people know what it's about and moving it to the right section of the forum. Good luck with your son. I'm dyslexic and I think I'm alright!
  8. When I read the name the villager I thought it's going to be a gay pub. Maybe I'm the only one though?
  9. oh i see fair enough!
  10. er I don't get it?
  11. I have no problem with my taxes going towards meals for children whose parents genuinely can't afford them - the waste is the people who happily pay anyway or provide a healthy packed lunch.
  12. As someone who has no clue who to vote for this free school meals for all primary school kids thing has put me off labour - it's just such a waste of money and just seems to have been pulled out of the air because there are so many families in ED you think it must be a vote winner? I know no-one is ever going to agree with every policy but this one really peeves me off.
  13. Thanks skidmarks and Laurie. I don't like the sound of the new plans but then I'm not a traffic planner so I will just trust that they've made a sensible decision and I certainly don't want to pay anything more than ?1.20 to get on a bus so if it's cheaper then I guess it makes sense.

For example if I knew my direct bus was going to be 10+ mins I could get on a different one and change. I would be interested in the full details because I can't see a reason why they think it's not worth having them at as many bus stops as possible to encourage bus use. Thanks
  15. I don't blame them - not a nice part of the job!
  16. One more thing - that water birth lady made it look so easy! I hope we get to see joy have her baby next week.
  17. I agree with everything you said vickster. That lady's husband was soooo horrible when he was just going on and on about how she should have just had a c section in the first place bla bla bla. In his pre-birth camera piece he was saying how his management course would help him talk to the midwife if he didn't agree - yeah right - he waited until she was out of the room until he moaned about everything and had a go at his poor wife.
  18. Thanks penguin I'll call her tonight although I doubt she'll heed my words - she's too trusting of people. She lives on a road where it seems everyone is over the age of 65ish so I guess they probably do well from that road. The thought of someone doing that to my granny is making my blood boil!
  19. My granny (in surrey) sometimes mentions how the charity dish cloth sellers have been round again and now I'm concerned she's being fleeced. So is it always a scam or are there some/any legit schemes? Thanks
  20. I heard it was Ryans but I have no idea if that's true or not but she did look at ryan then jack as bradley asked who the father was.
  21. Hi Tony, thanks for the message. I meant how much does it cost the council per dog poo clean up call out.
  22. Just out of interest how much does one of these call outs cost? I know they have to happened but they must cost quite a bit. The yellow stencils sound like a good idea. Thanks > As pointed out by others do report dog poo > problems and council officers will remove it > pretty quickly 020 7525 2000

  24. I stood in a squelchy dog poo on melbourne grove today :(
