  1. I think that experiment is on Exhibition Road or thereabouts, (could be wrong). Also this article I just found is on that subject. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2006/11/04/ntraffic04.xml
  2. I think you're being a bit hard on him. I'm sure this person has looked into expenses versus revenue and realises it won't really be a money making venture. Many people are members of more than one forum and it won't detract from this one which has new members joining all the time. West Dulwich can get in on the forum act and there's really no reason not to mention it on here once. I expect our admin can pop onto that forum when it's up and running and publicise this one. Not that much to discuss over there though is there? DM? obviously I was writing this while the previous posting came on.
  3. We could always do both. It loooks awfully quiet (bit like WD).

    Great Gigs

I saw Pink Floyd at Knebworth in about 1974/5 (I was v young at the time but remember it vividly) I believe they are still doing roughly the same stage show to this day. also saw Bob Marley at the Rainbow and Hammersmith Apollo around the same time and remember that vivdly too. I loved him. Talking Heads in '77 'Psycho Killer' time. That was a wicked gig.
  7. They've had plenty of free publicity on here that's for sure - they ought to pay for the whole thing!

    Great Gigs

I worked with De La Soul in the late eighties - what a miserable bunch of bastards they were! Another of my best gigs ever was (eek) Wacko at Wembley Stadium in about 1989. Wasn't bothered about going but got a free ticket and got totally carried away with it all. Conversely went to see Prince at the Arena around the same time - was really excited about it and ended up being bored stiff. Saw Frankie Goes to Hollywood perform Relax at a club in Edinburgh before it became a hit - that was a freaky floor show!

    Great Gigs

One of my best gigs ever was The Tubes at the Odeon in Edinburgh circa 1980 - what a show. I went to see them again at the Astoria a couple of years ago and for a bunch of oldies they still put on a fantastic show. Fee Waybill still does several outfit changes.

    Great Gigs

I wonder if Jules is playing with them? I can't remember which band it was but I heard a band stipulated an appearance on his Late Night show ONLY providing he did not accompany them on piano. ha ha.
  20. from what I learned at the forum drinks there a couple of months ago, the guys that own it (and it is independent, not brewery owned) have sunk all they owned into this venture. They have bought the property and want to run it as a pub but sensibly have a back up plan should it go pete tong.
