  10. Hey Louisa, I hope the Devon folks don't give you as much stick for being an incomer and changing the face of their county, fancy London folk moving in etc etc. as you give the folks in ED! I wouldn't live any other part of London I don't think but will probably move back to the old country before too long.

  15. red wine should be drunk ususally at around 16 degrees, much cooler than the average room and much cooler than when tepmeratures outside are in the mid 20's. Some reds, particularly Loire, should be served a few degrees cooler than that. I asked recently in the Dog if they had any red wines in the cooler and was given a very snotty "we only serve red at room temp" in reply. I didn't bother to reply.

  19. I have heard the word used several times in Scotland and also use it myself - to describe a bit of an idiot. Therefore not a particularly nice description of the lovely Keef. It may have a different meaning to the cloak's wife of course.
