My son's infant school had the non-competitive thing but his junior school doesn't. They had a swimming gala last week and there were definite winners and losers.

not for her birthday Keef - just for the baby. It's quite common for family members to chip in and buy stuff when a new baby comes along. The champagne lunch was for her birthday. I had a Bugaboo for my daughter and they are fantastic as I have droned on here before. I sold it a while ago for 70% of cost after using it for 2 years. 15% depreciation p.a. not too bad! (can I just add that I got mine before they became ubiquitous).

oh well - there you go, Merton's no good anyway. Think the place on Acre Lane is called Fulham Timber Merchants (somewhat misleading!).

so maybe the family all chipped in and bought her the Bugaboo and maybe it was her birthday, hence the champagne lunch and maybe she was just saying phew, I still look hot after childbirth. You can't always judge on appearances.

Well, as I said, Mr Asset has used Whittons several times for wood cutting with no complaints. He says if you want to know what bad service is go to Merton's next to Kwik Fit and try to interrupt the social club. However Merton's is closer I suppose.

yes although Andyng doesn't recommend them. Mr Asset has used them several times and likes them, he's never had an issue there. family business too.

I was in the process of getting a ticket the other day (wheels on kerb so as not to block the street for the 5 mins I was parking, no yellows or disabled bays). I said please don't give me a ticket and he said "ok as you said please, I won't" and stopped writing it! Phew.
