I would take them indoors and leave a note out. My neighbour did just that a few days ago and a very pleased punter came round the next day.

We do have tax breaks for charitable giving but they only kick in if you are a higher rate tax payer.

Hardly - I don't intend it. I'd had a few glasses of wine. I think comments like that are too easily ignored though. I know it was said in favour of the argument but it's the fact of women being seen as objects even though it may be unconscious. I'm no rabid feminist. I don't mean to be incitive - I was bringing attention to a throw-away comment.

Is the woman sitting there with no top on and both breasts on show or is she sitting there quietly feeding her baby with a top on and one breast slightly exposed in order for said baby to get its gob round it?

for crying out loud - I can't believe this subject is getting so much discussion. There is no argument. Breastfeeding is necessary, wherever and whenever it needs doing. It is not akin to getting one's kit off or displaying one's genitals in public. It just shows how prudish, uptight and generally up its own arse the British public is that this discussion is even taking place. BORING.
