  3. they're not illegal yet TT - only in public. Unless you're passing something else?
  4. It's difficult to know what to write - I don't want to come across wrong. The account is moving. I'm not entirely sure Jackangel had that particular day in mind when he ? wrote his piece. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think he ? may be satirising life in general in 2007. You Macro, are giving some info on a specific event, which is appreciated (by me anyway). Were you around LL on that day?

  7. is it a case of 'plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose' or summing like that? (not entirely sure I've got that right).
  8. Gimme a fag
  9. wasn't aimed at you Macro - I'm wondering what the point of the original thread is.
  10. and the point is?
  11. Friends of mine who live in Kennington were next door neighbours to Jack Straw and always had armed police stationed in the street when he was home secretary. Ought to reduce the contents insurance premium!

'85 is DM's sister of course. '88 looks like she's on one. To be sure, they are all lovely.
  13. what I meant was that you can opt out of the included service charge and leave smash on the table for the waiting staff. different ways in different establishments, some you kept what you got yourself, some were shared between waiting staff and some had to be shared with the kitchen staff too.
  14. From my waitng days long ago I seem to remember that a restaurant is only entitled to add a service charge to the bill when the table has over a certain number of people, poss 8, other than that is entirely discretionary and you don't have to pay it, even if it is included in the bill.

  17. It is legal to have yourself interred in your back garden. May reduce resale value somewhat though.
  18. Hi Mogs, had to give it a miss again this week - child off school sick. Definitely up for a game sometime tho.
  19. As we are onto the subject of graves I will mention that I went on the guided tour of Nunhead cemetery last Sunday (my party of 3 adults and 2 kids were the only ones). It was really interesting and a fantastic place for a walk. The tour is the last Sunday of the month at 2.15 if anyone else is interested in partaking.
  20. I understand - you are indeed a saintly person DM. PP - with the family, the general rule is to drink as much as poss of anything going.
  21. Have you got a new one then DM now Ana has been packed off for her confinement? I trust she is not a looker.
  22. *hush*
  23. yeah - and I like tequila which is expensive.
  24. nutella's not so bad snorky. at least it has protein content. to get back to the original thread - I didn't buy anything I normally wouldn't, in fact bought less than usual because I got all discombobulated in there, don't like the layout of the fruit & veg section. Was intrigued to see you can buy tents and sleeping bags etc. Anyone who's serious about camping would not buy a tent from sainsbo's.
  25. Apparently when incidents of this type occur the council sends a letter out to all schools in the area to make them aware of it.
