  1. you can get low energy halogen downlighter bulbs. I've got some.
  2. I'm paying about ?50 per month gas & electric with Sainsbury's Energy. I'm in a three bed house with GCH and gas cooker, Mr Asset won't let us use the heating unless it's minus 10 outside (slight exaggeration but not much). I have a small credit balance at the moment. So yes Fractionater, it sounds like you are paying way too much.

  6. Great evening out - bit of a scrum getting into cinema as we arrived a bit late and of course the whole of Leicester Square was packed out with the rabble. Free popcorn and fizzy drink in the cinema. Daniel Radcliffe said a few words before the film. 10 Yr old son enjoyed the film (so did I) although he said not enough action. Thanks Nero. Buy you a drink at the forum meet on Friday if you go.

  13. I think the only one I'd know out of these is Timothy Spall. Maybe recognise Cheekys if they were in their gold hotpants. Just think - all these famous people passing me everyday possibly and I'm in blissful ignorance.
  14. ok if you need to delete my post oops sorry, hadn't read contempt of court stuff
  15. I have a bit more info on this incident for those that are concerned it may be a case of mistaken identity or for those that are just interested. The man who was apprehended outside Charter school yesterday had attempted something with a girl on her way to school. She got away and the police were called. As she was sitting in the police car reportig the incident she ID'd him driving away in his car. At this point the car was stopped by police and the kerfuffle ensued and he has been arrested. I was told this today by my school's office who had in turn been informed by the police of the developments. The schools are given this information as it is in their interest to be kept abreast of the situation. Of course, it may not be the same guy who has been attempting to abduct girls from local schools in recent days.

don't worry Christopher, all welcome here (as long as you went to school in ED). I'm closer to the village than LL but do have SE22 code, phew!
  21. British justice system - innocent util proven guilty. I suppose the poor kids are going to have to do a positive ID on him before any charges can be brought. Unless he is already known to the police and shouldn't be near schools. He fitted the description though according to the person who saw it this morning and I suppose the police wouldn't have jumped on him unless they were fairly sure. He may have tried something and they were watching. Apparently he put up a fight.
  22. Update on the situation: Friend witnessed plain clothes police grappling with a man outside the Charter school this morning, police van screamed up and he was bundled in. My friend asked the police if this is the guy relating to the incidents and they said yes. It's good to know that the police were taking this seriously and were staking out the schools. Let's hope they can actually put him away.
  23. E gads - I've used 'not entirely sure' in two posts. Could be my catchphrase - "Asset, not entirely sure".
  24. Can't smoke fags though.
