  1. I think that's rubbish. How much service does one get when someone pulls a pint for you? People should be being paid enough to do the job properly.
  2. Why do we need to tip them. Aren't they being paid? It is an establishment's business to keep the toilets clean and the staff giving good service, not the customers'.
  3. oh come on - that's poor.
  4. I'm not going to tip someone for serving me a drink from behind a bar, nor am I going to tip a toilet attendant. And it's not a question of being tight.

Why do they need cars? given that most of the properties they will be dealing with are fairly close by they could have bikes or scooters
  6. his name is bill
  7. sorry to be sarcy on your first posting - but you are joking aren't you? someone more tech than me may be able to link one of the several threads discussing the dreaded Foxtons.......

ho CWALD - you most certainly should not add dog shit to your compost. It can be composted separately using special additives as long as the resulting compost is used on non-food crops but definitely not for general compost as it contains pathogens and bacteria that do not die in the process.
  11. more mobile phone shops???? You could tell her that's what you are going to open and then not - ha ha.
  12. Inside 72 has a policy of no children I believe so you can always go there. why oh why oh WHY does it have to come down to class???? I have seen plenty of oik kids running around places and plenty of MC kids sitting being well behaved. As someone (Ant poss) said earlier, kids behave well at some times and not so well at others and as was pointed out before if there are other kids running riot it can be difficult to get yours not to do so (when at an age where reasoning does not work - ever tried reasoning with a 3 year old? Don't bother.)
  13. Concorde always made me stop and look. I know it was a gas guzzling noisy monster, but it looked fab and I miss it.
  14. I thought they were particularly loud this morning.
  15. [ok] who will be the biggest poser [close enough]
  16. it's called being fascetious
  17. OK fair enough but you did say the reason you don't go to the park is because the cafe is rubbish. My point is that's not the only reason to go to a park. You can go to any park you want Frisco, for whatever reason you want. It does seem a bit of a shame to deny yourself the pleasure of going to a lovely park just because you can't get a good scran there.
  18. C'mon spade, they wouldn't have had a chance to put her six feet under, in a heavy casket. That is why graveyards don't smell.
  19. The forum party looms closer
  20. is it good MM, I enjoyed his London book EDIT: just noticed you read a review, not the book.
  21. an occasional bowl of chips never hurt anyone did they
  22. reiki
  23. Shall we cut all the trees at the side of the road down as well, just in case they are distraction too?
  24. I can quite happily go to a park without visiting a cafe there. To say that is a reason for not going to the park is a bit overreacting is it not? Anyway it's not that bad in there. What do you expect, as Sean so rightly says, it's a cafe in the park not Fifteen.
