    Thanks, look forward to it.
  2. I don't mean to be unwelcoming just continuing what other people are also trying to do on here. One of the suggested uses for the forum is doing a search before starting a new thread to see if it has already been done as you will see if you read the section 'about this forum - terms of use'. There is no issue about resurrecting old threads but it might be worthwhile seeing if it has been discussed before and if you have something worthwhile to add to do it there. MM - exactly, nothing wrong with a tidy mind! Do you want your undies going pink?
  3. How reasoned of you.

I remember the film coming out now, couple of years ago.
  6. Declan: copy the url, then click on the little icon that is called 'insert url', paste url in and then you are prompted to name it.
  7. Takes all sorts I suppose. There is a joke thread already, best to post jokes there.

The play area is fine, and the One O clock > club is a real find. Thank God it's not in Dulwich > Park! How on earth can you make such a ridiculous generalisation? Heidihi Said: "Saying that the kids in Dulwich park can be little monsters, my niece and nephew have been bullied by a few little kiddies in the park who liked to push and shove to get on the slides/swings! I tend to tell the parents off!" Ditto to you too, as you point out, kids can be monsters anywhere. By the way - as a nanny you ought to be aware that at around age 3 children start to develop a sense of ownership and posession which is what causes them to take toys off each other. It's got nothing to do with upbringing rather a developmental process.
  9. oh cripes, not this again. Can someone put a link to the previous thread about dogs on leads for Heidihi to read.
  10. hahahahaha and more ha, you can be quite funny sometimes AllorNun.

BD chronicles is one of the few books I started but couldn't be bothered finishing. Loved The Hurricane, not much else.
  15. which phrase would that be? anyway, bastadized? what's that all about?
  16. You gotta laugh. AllforNun, got a friend called Lousia?
  17. I would probably get a load of financial stuff with my username.
  18. I would think that parking of a fleet of company cars that incorporate advertising would constitute commercial, could be wrong though.
  19. In re. the Canaries. There is an amazing island just off Tenergrief called La Gomera. Very dramatic, fantastic scenery, black sand, still fairly un-touristy. Recommend it as somewhere slightly different and off the beaten track. Only downside is you have to get the ferry from Playa de los Americanos, but you get a fabulous view of the volcano as you sail away. Looks like Fiji.
  20. "Presumably Asset didnt go to his/her childs Christmas carol service as that would have been hypocritical. And in fact the child singing the songs would be hypocritical and anyone whos ever attended a church funeral or wedding would be hypocritical unless they believe in God." If I may refer you to a previous post of mine on this thread you will see where I stand on that point. However in answer to the assertion that it is hypocritical to go to a church wedding or funeral if you don't believe in god, that is like saying it is hypocritcal for a vegetarian to join their meat-eating friends for dinner in a steak house and is a specious argument as there is no pretence involved in either case. I have never said I can't get into the spirit of a church service being a non-religious person, just that I would not choose to do it every weekend and personally, I would feel hypocritical if I did it to get my child into a school. You are being awfully defensive Poindexter.
  21. why on earth would you go to church if you don't believe in god or are not religious? Oh yes, hypocrisy....... I've got better ways to spend my Sunday mornings thanks. I take it you did the church thing Poindexter.
  22. Bloody nora, completely forgot. My days of the week are a bit jumbled after last weekend. I'm on for next Wed.
  23. it sure is no fun
  24. "what happened to good old-fashioned press?" still is used in Scotland. Apparently the Scots use the most grammatically correct english but I can't remember where I read that.
