Crystal Palace or Brockwell Park for fireworks?
Herne Hill Guest replied to Juness's topic in The Lounge
Just in case you don't know Brockwell Park is now a ticketed to pay event. Pretty sure they need to be bought in advance, although not 100% sure. -
Mouse has made a nest in my under stairs cupboard

It's not girly don't worry. I am terrified of them too but I know grown men that are petrified of baby frogs. It's a size issue. -
There are lots of threads on this subject on the forum. I recommend doing a search as some of them are really helpful and may help you save some money.

Gluten free people let me in on your secret?
Herne Hill Guest replied to Supernanny*'s topic in The Lounge
Co-op, Tesco have small ranges too. Check the Free From frozen range in large Sainsbury's, it's usually next to the Quorn. Ready meals in there. M&S also have a growing range, the bread is delicious. Pricey though. -
Yes, been on for ages.

It sounds like you could do with some.

Olleys in Herne Hill is gluten free on Mon & Tues. It's delicious. She would be thrilled, no one does this. -
If you don't get anywhere here don't worry you will soon pick it up. If you are clearing waste land make sure your jabs are up to date. Wear as much protective clothing (not just ear defenders) as possible because if you hit fresh cat doings it will splatter everywhere and is extremely dangerous to humans. I don't like strimming so recommend not getting too good at it, else you might be stuck with it for a long time : )

I can also recommend JAGS for the gym and swimming. I am still working my way through the studio classes and have to admit that nothing has grabbed me yet but I haven't tried them all as of yet. The price is excellent. If you haven't tried swimming for a while give it a go. I have recently become hooked and the effects are remarkable.

Bumble bees in our flat again!
Herne Hill Guest replied to Minitoots's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Sometimes they can get confused by sunlight reflecting on a window. In my old flat there was a wasp nest in a flat across the road and the evening sun reflecting on their windows led the wasps to my flat. -
Aircraft noise - have your say...
Herne Hill Guest replied to SplendidLikePeckham's topic in The Lounge
I was gardening with someone yesterday afternoon, just near The Cambria Camberwell/Herne Hill border. Although we were only one metre away from each other we did actually have to raise our voices to be heard when the planes were directly overhead. Although I do my best to ignore it, it does bother me constantly when I'm in my garden and often wakes me early in the morning. I've just come on here to have a little moan so please don't offer to come round to check that I'm not an obsessive. -

Perhaps because you have a pretty similar reaction to posts to those you accuse of over reacting to plane noise. -

HPsaucey you need to get a white noise machine with a snooze button. He hits it when the planes come over or I suppose you could set a white noise timer for 4.30ish. Should send him off to sleep again. -

Wanted: Female pilates instructor
Herne Hill Guest replied to Cassel's topic in Request a Tradesperson
I can recommend Anne. I'm a gardener and when I had a back injury I did Pilates with Anne for 6 months and haven't been injured again yet (fingers crossed). She also does PT. Anne Fison 07963 219 205 [email protected] -
I can recommend Anne who does Pilates and PT. She gives just the right amount of push and you always get a bit further than expected. Anne Fison Personal Trainer/ Class Instructor 07963 219 205 [email protected]

Wanted - help for a mac that's closed down
Herne Hill Guest replied to emc's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Google Mac won't start. I can't remember exactly but it's something like Control, Option and Shift. I wouldn't panic until you've tried that. Happens to me a lot. -
?43. There are other threads on here discussing various 'gym' gyms in detail if you search. Good luck.

Hamish Lodge, "Cut Above" tree management
Herne Hill Guest replied to Alex K's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Hamish I think this thread, in the end, is the best free marketing you could ever want. You are obviously respected by all.
