I'm sure, I just meant for the drive from his car grooming garage to the owners garage, to me it would make more sense if he went around to their place and cleaned the cars there.

It does piss me off a bit how the americans like to go on about how they came to the rescue and saved the UK, if it wasn't for Pearl Harbour they probably would have quite happily sat on the side lines saying 'It ain't our fight'.

Seems like a lot of bollocks to me, if he really does take all that care in cleaning the cars so immaculately surely most of his work would be undone as soon as the car is driven out of the garage?

I think it's open until 1pm weekdays and 12:30pm on Saturdays, not sure what time it opens, 8 or 9am I guess.

I think sophiesofa is right, I'm pretty sure the ones at the end of the platform were there on Saturday. -
Because we don't pay London prices for froth and air :)-D

Orange mobile reception in SE22: Problems??
EDKiwi replied to ratty's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
A report come out the other day about cancelling mobile phone contracts due to poor reception, looks like it varies between providers and even the retail stores. Can you cancel a mobile phone contract due to bad signal? -

A guy tried to grab a friends purse in broad daylight just outside the park, luckily she had the strap around her wrist and he tripped over, at which point my wife and her gave him a few decent kicks in the ribs and he ran off empty handed. The rest out our group were across the road, not quite believing what we were seeing. We did the bus tour too, good value if you have limited time.

It's probably a London thing, I work in various bus garages around London, in the last week alone I have seen a driver reverse a bus into a wall, and another into my car (only scratched the bumper luckly)...apparently he didn't see the car even though he walked past it to get to the bus (and to be fair one of the managers had just warned me to move it 'cos these drivers are idiots').

I'd like to echo Vicksters thumbs up for the Harris Birthright Centre. We had out 12 week scan last week and after our past experiences with the NHS were pleasantly surprised and impressed how good the staff and facilities are. I suspect it may vary on who you get but we had a great doctor who made lots of jokes and told us what he was looking at and why (there were also 2 or 3 trainees with him who were all very good too). Our wee one did give him a bit of bother with the Nucal scan as they were sitting in a position where he couldn't get a decent picture but he spent ages on it until he got a picture he was happy with even though he was running over time which we appreciated (although those waiting for us to finished may have not). It is pretty amazing how much they have developed even at 12 weeks, the wee one was pretty active during the scan, kicking around and waving their arms about, very cool :)

If money was no object, what would you always have to hand?

Could be quite useful actually, if they start playing sinister music when you hear a noise in the night you'd know something was up....or the Jaws theme when you're swiming off your private yacht. -
So why is it that despite the 'recent' renovations they don't seem to have any form of heating in the place, in winter it's frickin freezing.

I think Eurozone refers to countries which use the Euro as their currency. -
Not quite sure why this guy felt the need to get his name and date of birth tattooed on himself, but I guess he ain't the brightest bulb in the pack. Tattoo clue leads police to thief I think tattoos of a sentimental nature can be a nice touch. My supervisor on a contract I was working on last year recently died from cancer and his brother has got himself a tattoo on his shoulder related to his departed brother (who had a few tattoos himself) which I think is quite nice.

Ah that explains why Radio 1 is the worst culprits for it. -

Why do some people say 'off of' instead of 'from', e.g John of off Dover, instead of John from Dover? Maybe it's an English thing but it does my head in. -
