  6. New Years Eve, hopefully the end of a terrible year around the world and looking forward to a prosperous and better 2022. Jon Lucian , Listen love Lonnie Liston Smith, Expansions
  7. My post comes from FH sorting office; A parcel was sent to me first class from Cornwall on 20th December still has not arrived?? Had one piece of post today, a statement, still no cards. Was told that FH sorting office just before Christmas had refused two lorries from Croydon depot as did not have the staff to sort it due to sickness & Covid, where are the usual temps, have seen none this year?? Maybe none employed. 24th December saw at least one postie with a PO trolley full to the brim, so some people appear to be receiving some post. I've seen a van parked up on Underhill on more than a few occasions doing deliveries (after stopping to have a long chat with another postie van) However, it feels very much like post is being held back due to staffing and when it finally does come, expect an avalanche through the letter boxes.

  9. Sorry Sue but having spent hours on the landline yesterday with both providers trying to sort it and again today, having to repeat yourself umpteen times, not getting straight answers to questions, it gets very frustrating, when virgin PAYG mobile have created the problem but take no responsibility. Arghhhh. I think I need to ask a local phone techie to try and sort it. Tried to today, is uncontactable, will try tomorrow.

  13. Moovart "There is no competition for delivery of letters and so letters and cards can be sidelined to focus staff on parcel delivery". There is competition at least with Whistl who I understand handle post as well.
  14. Local mobile phone shop or person recommendations wanted? Does anyone have a recommendation for a local mobile phone shop or someone who has experience of "unlocking phone networks". Am trying to move from Virgin mobile to Lebara on a 3G phone. On inserting the Lebara sim, says emergency calls only and I have no connection bars, and a cross above the bars. Since getting the remaining credit back from Virgin today the problem started, they have put a little credit back on but still cannot connect to network. Virgin are saying they'll send a new sim, as they think it needs replacing, original virgin sim was replaced by them two years ago. Virgin mobile PAYG network ceases operation on 10/1/22 hence trying to get new Lebara sim working. Any pointers or help appreciated.
