  2. thanks for that, looks as though the website needs updating.
  3. The web page states that the central London (Trafalgar Square) branch is closing down, but Each Dulwich and Battersea branches will remain open. See below. "Dear Natural wine lovers It is with a very heavy heart, but also a lot of happy memories, that we have taken the tough decision to close the doors at Terroirs Central, for good. It has been an amazing journey, and we have made so many friends along the way. We?d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last 13 years?from our amazing team to our beautiful guests, we literally couldn?t have done it without you! For anyone panicking about charcuterie withdrawal, or a natural wine fix, rest assured that Terroirs East Dulwich and Soif (Battersea) will continue to trade as normal and the teams there, supplemented by some familiar faces from central, will look forward to welcoming you."
  4. try two rr's as in Terriors
  5. Going two for two, and taken from the much under rated and stand out LP "In our lifetime" by Marvin Gaye, "Love party"
  6. So as another weekend looms, we need some banging tunes for the ritual going home for the weekend. From deep within the pile of tunes, to brighten up a very cold but sunny Friday morning, take a listen to this wonderous instrumental track my the late, great Marvin Gaye, "T plays it cool"(unedited)
  7. Does Harris Academy Primary on LL have one? If not that may also be a viable option?
  8. And now getting seriously funky with Curtis Mayfield and Move on up.
  9. Going back to 1993, its time for a right banging tune, so here's Show me love by Robin S aka Robin Stone.
  10. Hi Monica, have pm'd you with some helpful details.
  11. Kings are doing walk ins, it has moved from the Dental School to the far end of the hospital, just follow the signs along to the corner of the "old" car park (being re-developed), turn right, head towards the new buildings and then sort of turn diagonally left and you'll come to a yard with an entrance door. Inside it is bright, but unlike the set up in the Dental School, didn't seem as friendly as the first two vaccinations, don't let that put you off. You now self time yourself in the rest area post vaccination, before leaving.
  12. More from the Gap Band, taken from the LP Gap Band 8, Keep Holding On.
  13. Railway stations with AED's, defibrillators List%20of%20stations%20with%20life-saving%20defibrillators.pdf AED's located across London, It does NOT seem to be complete. https://www.heartsafe.org.uk/aed-locations
  14. Forest Hill Road Group Practice has one, you'd hope that other surgeries do as well. In terms of a list, I think The London Ambulance Service has a list of registered AED's. It is not only having one, but the cost of their sitting, ongoing maintenance and charging so AED's are always serviceable when needed to be used.
  15. From deep within the soul vaults, a perfect track for Going Home For The weekend, Burn rubber on me, by The Gap Band, taken from the LP Gap Band 3.
  16. Peckham was a shopping destination probably 50 years ago when it had "proper" shops on Rye Lane (see previous posts). Look at it then and compare it to now (there is no comparison to the changes it has ben through). People in and from Peckham work hard and have never had it easy, it has always been a struggle, gentrification is the last thing it needs, it will continue to drive out the originals. And - anyone remember when the council installed pop up bollards in Hanover Park which were never used/worked. Another dumb ass scheme concocted by cllrs to control traffic. Let the buses now run as they always used to.
  17. East Dulwich and the surrounding area has a wide array of retail food outlets, some better than others, some cheaper or expensive than others, we all have choice dependant on our personal shopping budgets. Shopping for general items revolves around any of the big four supermarkets (even better if what they have and what I need is of on a special offer), Lidl or Aldi for speciality items i.e. jams or Polish honey or spices or dried herbs etc. We have a number of local bakers (not cheap) but IMO far better than 99% of the in store supermarket produced bread, a number of butchers - you take your choice, fruit and veg - generally from Sainsbury as IMO quality is better than the other supermarkets, again you pay for what you need, but given that have not been disappointed in the past by fruit or veg from Lidl. I've only ever used home delivery for two reasons - bulky items or when I was ill and homebound, otherwise I much prefer to go to the shops and select the items I need as opposed to those items I want. And if they are out of stock either forgo or try somewhere else. I find shopping is a balance between freshness, cost, availability and convenience.
  18. What a banging track to start your journey going home for the weekend, Enjoy.
  19. Sir Gerry Robinson, former chairman and chief executive of Granada TV, As a broadcaster, he presented a number of series for the BBC including I'll Show Them Who's Boss in 2004 and Can Gerry Robinson Fix The NHS? in 2007. In 2011, he presented the BBC television show Can't Take It with You, which helped people to write their wills.
  20. Second everything said by heartblcok, the quicker resuscitation begins the better chance of survival, although rates of Out of Hospital cardiac arrests are very low being between 5 - 8%. Perhaps Southwark Lewisham and Lambeth Councils can work together to have more community AED's available. These pieces of equipment can make all the difference between survival and fatality. https://www.londonambulance.nhs.uk/calling-us/emergency-heart-care/
  21. Reported in the newspapers today, Javid to tear up social distancing in surgeries to give thousands more face to face appointments. Already at Kings College Hospital the restrictions are being eased to make access and exiting much easier. X ray service there yesterday was super efficient and excellent.
  22. From deep within the vaults I've pulled out another two back to back banging "going home for the weekend" tunes, enjoy. Loletta Holloway - Hit and Run Loletta Holloway - Love Sensation
  23. Clearly Cat what you've been saying about the rises in gas prices has been spot on, as now reported on BBC News. But also the spike has very slightly dropped as Russia has increased the supply, hopefully the decrease in the spike price will continue, however News also reporting that the price cap may rise from ?1277 to ?1660.
  24. What is the live market data? And where is the data from? What is the market? The energy market??? The oil market? As you don't say what it is how are we supposed to know? It's like a newspaper stating something but not the source from which it came, a Govt dept, a Minister, The Church, a trade body etc. TheCat Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Umm not really....we pay a fee for access to live > market data, I can't just post it on random > internet forum I'm afraid..and Im not really > trying to win an argument here or prove a point > with evidence. > > The price was up 20 percent today for wholesale 1 > month future on UK Nat gas...I just thought people > without that live access may be interested in > that....you can either choose to believe that or > not, I don't really mind which!
