  1. Just typed it all up and lost it, sorry on phone. It gave the history of how he got here, spy swap, enquired where his income came from, easy enough to find out, how unclear his work with our government was. I cant get back on to article, I didn't pay to readit. I understand official secrets but I Am concerned the lack of trust between our government and its people, and history of cover ups has not encouraged more transparency.
  2. https://www.ft.com/content/46eb6414-22f8-11e8-ae48-60d3531b7d11 An interesting article on Sergei, brings up many questions, which the uk public will probably not be privvy to. Soory did not let me copy
  3. I can't help make comparisons between the atrocities inflicted by assumedly (not sure if thats a word) foreign powers, and governments who refused to give out the number of deaths caused by there policies. Going through every legal procedure to attempt to withhold information they have. How many families in this country have lost loved ones, some starving to death, lilies laid for all the dead outside the houses of parliament, only for denial and an attempt to shift the blame. Are we meant to forget how this government behaves towards there own people. Corbyn seems to be the only person who can bring it to a real level, whilst looking from a place of integrity.
  4. Jenny1, the comparison does not begin and end at Iraq/wmd, There is a history of misinformation and a history of withholding the truth, we have seen in the past governments can follow procedure within the law, have appealed time and time again when the public have used there right to freedom of information, especially when there systems put in place are under questioning.
  5. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2018/03/15/politics/dhs-fbi-russia-power-grid/index.html US accuses Russia of cyber attacks. I cannot believe our government has created a situatuon through accusation then expulsion before giving any information or proof to the people they are meant to be representing.the problem is not Corbyn making political capital from it, he is suggesting we learn from our mistakes, take time to gather information that can give everyone a better understanding. Theresa May has escalated this situatiion by her actions spouting the same old shite, behaving in the same old way. Yes we all know it was a terrible act, but up until this happened I didn't know who these people were. As I don't know the people individually who have died under systems she and her government have implemented to vulnerable peiple here. If only they had the decency to recognise there own actions. I believe many people have a mistrust that runs deeper than an isolated situation that is escalating from information given about our safety. Lets not bother with the protest this time uf the truth comes out differently.
  6. Thanks johnL, It seems Corbyn has been saying we should as a country go through legal procedures, and find out how, why and who were involved. I don't understand the decision for the expulsions, whilst answers have not been found. What info will be given to us ,I wonder.
  7. You would think the UK being a leading country into Research into chemical warfare, we could come up with answers to show the nerve agent used came from russia. I wonder how many people have believed the media info given blaming Russia, or how many felt a distrust especially with our governments history. I would think the latter is understandable.

  9. Hit it on the head mick mac.
  10. Yes hpsaucey, I would imagine the op would have to feel safe and comfortable approaching the family, although there is no mention of how op feels about this nor any idea to the childs age, or any information regarding ops neighbour. I can't help but see similiarities with the neighbours situation (I am aware we can only assume) and many posts I have read on here, where mothers are struggling to cope with there childs behaviour. I also can't help wondering if the mother has anyone who can give her support like what is often given on this forum.
  11. I agree, mick mac, i would have to raise concerns with family. I have read many threads on here in the family room of terrible tantrums, parents struggling to cope with there childrens behaviour, where much understanding and good advice has been giving. The op may or may not have children, which i believe may make it harder to understand if they don't, but then again when op says "ours" it may be a referal to children as well. I think anyone thinking of reporting a situation , (I am aware this was advice and not from the op) should maybe try to see the situation from the other perspective, which would be very hard to do without communication.
  12. Any update on this child, has the shouting continued daily or returned to 2-3 times a week. I realise op may not use edf often, being a first poster, but in a post where the welfare of a child and mother is being discussed, some acknowledgement, even if op does not wish to say what action, if any, was taken.
  13. Please, if this woman is approachable, let her know your concerns, communities cannot be built when you can't communicate. How long has this been going on? I was in a similiar situation with a neighbour years ago, on enquiring it turned out the child had night terrors, it was taking its toll on the mother. As you do not know what the situation is maybe you should ask yourself, do you care enough to maybe even be able to help or are you more concerned your peace is being intruded,

    Seasonal ailments

Hi Sue, My neice has had a similiar thing, lastung nearly 3montgs, she has noe been diagnosed asthmatic. Out of curiousity did you recieve the flu jab, hope you get better soon.
  15. There's certain questions it feels wrong to ask, about padraics personal care, but lilithangel has explained how bad things are, if there are any charities involved, these difficulties need to be addressed however difficult that may be.
  16. Blah blah, I think most alcoholics use alcohol to self medicate/escape, im not sure you can seperate, circumstances that bring you to a level of self abuse often continue to grow with the habit, often making it more difficult to deal with as time goes on, regardless of other people making allowances for your habitual behaviour it will be down to the individual to face the damage which has often been done. With help and support and the strength to want change, treatment is a very individual thing and must come from a want to change.
  17. Lilithangel There's only so much people can do, you have done everything you can, thanks for giving people a chance to understand the situation from a day to day view.
  18. Lilithangel, Have you and your neighbours come together and tried to speak to anyone involved with padraic. Regardless of having a habit I feel by refusing help and knowing what you don't want, may bring a sense of freedom but that comes with a responsibility. Have the police ever been called over his behaviour. I mentioned the toilet as its a health hazard that could be removed, I wasn't suggesting it would solve the problem. Lilithangel has he not moved from the harvester, I take it security have moved. Until padraic attempts to face his habit, it seems he may be warmer and a bit more comfortable but that will not protect him from his self. It's a nightmare having a neighbour who affects your life that you're worried to go out. Lavender27 I have not felt anything out of the usual in my left leg.
  19. How would people feel if they were witness to Padraics way of life as a neighbour. Has he himself any solutions he just cant put into practice. What would be the outcome if people stopped helping, probably anything between him accepting help or dying. Would a chemical toilet help in a situation like this, I know it would take regular involvement, Ive no idea if any charity looks or acts on basic issues like this. Edited to say, charities working directly on the street.q
  20. Rendall, i will answer here as do not want to divert from the real issue in other thread. I can understand when people do not want to continue diffrent opinions through private messages, for many reasons. We can have different opinions, but I do believe when things become to personal , the real issue is often lost. Nothing is black or white, if people have opinions that are diffrent from your own, this should not invalidate either views. Rights and wrongs become very restrictive.
  21. Lilithangel, thanks for you informative post, you've answered a lot of questions I have wondered about. And I know for sure now who you are speaking about. Has anyone in contact asked him how he manages his basic care.
  22. Rendall,Why have you put up an unread private message again when itatm has asked you to leave her/him alone? I do not believe itatm has been aggressive, I'm curious to why you feel you should share this message when itatm does not want to read it. I also feel when posts are deleted, it is difficult to tell if people are responding, whether they read previous deleted post etc.
  23. Alice do you believe the people dying on our streets Is through collusion with the public?
  24. And why shouldn't people help when to be honest we have a system that cannot cope. Whose responsibility is it, I do not believe the publics help should be held responsible for whether someone lives or dies, and accusations of allowing or being part of that because you choose to help, moves the blame from a much bigger picture.
  25. http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/15284726.Death_on_the_streets__Shock_figures_reveal_horrifying_extent_of_homeless_fatalities_in_Scotland/ I cannot find the figures for London but above is a link to homeless people dying on the streets inGlasgow, almost 4 a month, comparing size and amount of homeless I would imagine figures to be much higher. The reality is many homeless do not get the help. Single mothers have had the choice of having there children removed from there care if they refuse to move hundreds of miles from there family. Is it ok to force people into situations with an ultimative if it is not the help they want or feel they need. This thread seems to be moving away from the bigger picture, yes this man has been offered help which he has refused but this is not often the case with homeless.
