  1. Plus they may stop using the military illegally and immorally.
  2. I will be voting Libdem again. Mostly because I feel that the most important thing in a government is being kept in check by a strong opposition. Considering how blatantly in bed with big business both the Tories and Labour are the closest thing to a real opposition in Britain is the Libdems.

At the risk of sounding like a flyer in a chiropractor?s waiting room, an open-minded and holistic approach would be more helpful.
  4. Fucking liberty. If you are working and living in a foreign country you should respect their laws. It?s just plain courtesy. (I realise that the British, especially their military would do well also head this advice abroad but that is not the argument here). Perhaps it is just indicative of the amount of respect Britain has lost internationally.
  5. Far as I can reckon he is old enough to remember Mott the Hoople who I?m pretty sure were a Music Hall group from the 1850s.

Yes but unless the vast amounts of poor and dependent are empowered or lifted out of poverty all that that is going to do is give some individuals the greater freedom to exploit others. There is a reason why libertarianism attracts so much support from the old right wing and big business. I can sympathise with the ideology but the practical ramifications scare me.
  12. I know that one. It's Primal Scream
  13. Please stay on topic. ;-)
  14. I seriously can?t grasp the mentality behind voting for a party that has a track record of fascist style control and exploitation just because the other lot are too crap to run a country properly. Vote both of them out. Take to the streets! Demand better.
  15. I?m relatively new to the British political landscape but I have made a few deductions so far. - Voting for a party that has a clear mandate to look after the interest of a select few at the expense of society in general and completely disregards social conscience, and community would be irresponsible for any free thinking individual. - Voting for a party whose only argument against the bad guys is based on fundamentally flawed and outdated ideology even though they are happy to adopt their policies is also irresponsible. - There is no valid option but to vote for some kind of opposition to this whole mess. - Somewhere in the upper echelons of financial and political power there are people who are very chuffed about the fact that the voting British public essentially have no democratic say what so ever but rather spend their time bickering about invalid, outdated and unhelpful arguments like, left v right, liberal v conservative, blue v red.
  16. Ok so 3 very bad examples of what it has produced. What about all the other pupils?
  17. It?s about as accurate as throwing a dart at a flock of pigeons. And about as entertaining too.

  21. Ok, if I end up feeling like a tit for being the only person to rock-up* wearing floral board shorts, I?m holding you personally accountable Mike. *there?s that term again.
  22. You could go out a play sport instead. Just a thought.
