  1. Oh don?t be so precious you lot. Yeah Sunday buffets are an opportunity to use up the food that is on its way out and they are only a step above canteen food but what?s wrong with that? It is all reflected in the price. They?re fun and cheap not fine dining.
  2. So in the Southern Hemisphere where the school year starts in January and the seasons are switched around are the horoscopes all out of wack?
  3. Wait scratch that. I'm talking complete rubbish. Carry on.

Jack Daniels isn?t bourbon. Bourbon has to come from Kentucky (I think it?s only Kentucky). Jack is a Tennessee whiskey.
  5. I have big hair. I'm not a Leo though which may have something to do with me being a Gemini.
  6. Although to be honest, even if I had been taught how to cook at school I still would have spent my early twenties living of nothing but beans and McDs.
  7. I have one of those 1lt bottles of Bacardi that make their way into your luggage when you pass though airports and a mint bush in the front garden. I may just have a little mojito judging competition of my own tonight.
  8. Hmm I don?t know. It is tricky. I recon some things are not essential but pretty dam useful. We got taught how to do things like change the oil in a car and hang a door. I don?t think these were essential but they have certainly come in handy. Although knowing how to feed yourself is probably a bit more useful.

  10. Good Education - Academic achievement to good level in a selection of varied subjects - Ability to communicate in at least 1 other language - Understanding of group dynamics and what social structure and dynamics exist ouside of the school environment - Support to develop physically and mentally in at least one sport and support in participating competitively - Support in developing in at least one artistic/musical pursuit - Realistic introduction to various career options Bad Education - Thinking it?s all about learning from text books and ticking boxes.
  11. Madness! Do they expect parents to carry their own shopping bags?
  12. What I want to know is who came up with the fuckwitted idea that academic assessment on an examinations basis in itself equals an education?
  13. The ancient Egyptians had a good idea. You could only get into the afterlife if you were properly mummified. If however you weren?t mummified you just kinda stopped existing after you died. So it was all very democratic. You had a choice of whether or not you wanted to participate in the whole afterlife thing.
  14. I take it all back.
  15. That?s seriously ironic man.
  16. Tony they really were real. Unlike leprechauns, America, Britney Spears and democracy they weren?t just invented by Hollywood. Dinosaurs were very real indeed and existed for about a month, 4 years after God created the world, 4000 years ago.
  17. Alternatively, time is a construct of the conscious mind. When we dream we are clumsily tripping around the unfamiliar landscape of the unconscious like a drunk in a dark house. Sometimes we unintentionally stumble through a doorway that opens through the 4th dimension and get a nasty surprise when we turn the light on. What I?m trying to say here Moos is that those dinosaurs are real and you should probably take a rolling pin or cricket bat to bed with you. Edit: for the sake of Moss
  18. Because it was mostly white kids who were into The Boomtown Rats.
  19. I?m going to do my best to get there. I have missed a few of these and, well I miss them. Thing is I do have other commitments so I will be there lateish I think.
  20. So was I but then I do think your all a bit anal with the hole spilling and grammer thing.
  21. Have a good one BB!
  22. Right so this is paradise. Looks nice but I have some questions. Firstly, why the 72 raisins and what am I supposed to do with a 12 inch pianist?

You see that there?s some Pavlovian conditioning if ever there was any. Something subconsciously must be programmed not to associate swearing with church for fear of meeting with the business end of Sister Mary-Joseph?s wooden ruler.
  24. Well as you brought up the Catholic Church SeanMac. If you look properly into the church?s doctrine and philosophy on the subject, that area where good Catholics do not tread. You are presented with a slightly different concept to that of life then death then afterlife. The whole concept is that time does not exist outside of life. So heaven is a somehow eternal, yet not eternal as that implies a linear passage of time, and a timeless state of grace. It exists outside of and neither before, during nor after our lifetime but is somehow inextricably linked and dependent on our life in this world. This then poses questions about preordination vs freedom of choice. It is what is referred to as a mystery of faith. Monks meditate on them when they?re trying to dispel fantasies of Lindsay Lohan. Like many other bits of religious philosophy that have been subject to the attentions of some very astute minds over the centuries it makes a fascinating line of enquiry. It could perhaps be more fruitfully addressed without having to abide by restrictive tenants of faith which can render arguments circular and pointless. Edit: As some smart arse had to go and point out my spelling mistake.
