  1. Why talking about having kids makes adults behave like children.
  2. Try being dyslexic and a sub-editor. It?s a right pain in the bum. It?s just a godsend I?ve become so good at covering it up.
  3. Films without sword fights, naked ladies and knob jokes. I mean what?s the point? I may as well just invite 50 strangers into my living room to sit around eating popcorn while I get subjected to Eastenders.
  4. :)):)):))
  5. Now that?s posh for you. A company that makes sure your drugs don?t get lonely.
  6. I?m all for using technology to make umpiring more accurate but I do think that this referring business can be a waste of time sometimes. I also don?t think that the teams should be able to ask for a decision to be referred, as they have experimented with. It just invites silly buggery from the captains. Especially with the, shall we say less scrupulous, approach to the game the colonials have.
  7. hee heh. I thought you would have summat to say about that PGC.
  8. Considering that my childhood seemed to consist of washing dishes, mowing lawns, washing cars, fetching drinks etc. etc. I can?t wait to have kids so that I can put my feet up for a few years. How many do you think I will need to be completely free of housework?
  9. American spelling makes a lot more sense than the traditional system that the rest of the English speaking world uses.
  10. Why the fuck do we now need a pc term for people who choose for whatever reason not to have children. As far as I have always known this is a completely fucking normal and acceptable fucking path to fucking choose whatever your fucking reasons fucking are. For the fucking sake of all the fucking gods! You?re all completely fucking brain-free. fucking Edit: fucking
  11. Although we don?t have kids yet so all it involves is the odd button. Oh and I did a hem once which I was quite proud of.
  12. True asset. In ours I do the sewing.
  13. Well (simplistically) apartheid in South Africa ended when the unchallengeable hold on power that the National Party, who instigated the policy of apartheid, came to an end. This ended mainly because of the fall of the Soviet Union. America no longer needed to control the government of the most powerful country in a region that was otherwise predominately Soviet influenced and coordinated. So they pulled their backing from the National Party and only then did public opinion take its course. So unfortunately it was, as most things are, for reasons of political power rather than humanitarianism. To be honest though I don?t think anyone ever really gave a toss about what anybody in Britain thought. Unless they were pursuing future careers as Guardian contributors.
  14. Your point is? It?s usually the dad who doesn?t stop working full time, fixes things when they break, looks after the garden, take the kids to sports matches and practice, supports the mum emotionally, makes sure the motorcars are in running order, accepts his responsibilities without complaint... EDTI: to point out that this was in reply to Asset not Moos who jumped the queue.
  15. Is this all about what Kiwis have to resort to when the sheep go to market?
  16. Course not. ;-) Say no more.
  17. it?s as good as one to a blind bat.
  18. It?s going to be international slapper day man. Head on out and feel the love. Edit: Ed.
  19. Hello Rebecca and welcome to you and your friends. If you browse this forum a bit you will find a wealth of information on the various restaurants and bars etc that the area has to offer. Also plenty of meet ups and clubs and stuff going on. I would also recommend hitting the streets and checking the place out for yourselves. It?s a great little area.

  22. Can I just say that the owner really shouldn?t take to heart what people say on this or any other forum. The thing with public internet forums is that any bugger with a stupid opinion or shite attitude gets to air it. It isn?t like there is any editorial control. So just brush the chaff aside and try to filter out that which is useful.

  24. I thought he was the embarrassing relative who would park his motor home on the lawn outside and empty his septic tank into the storm water drain. Edit: by the FCC

Here I was thinking he was the guy out of all those National Lampoon's flicks. I really am completely rubbish at movie stuff that doesn?t involve Kevin Smith or Quentin Tarantino.
