  1. What was the one called where everyone used to gather around chanting, barney, barney, barney?
  2. Apologies for being such a pig. I will be in the Plough this evening if any offended women want to throw a drink in my face.
  3. Sorry? I got as far in as ?Over the last 25 years boobs? have got a lot bigger? and then drifted into my own little fantasy world.
  4. So G doesn't stand for, Good form love?
  5. I know but there is something buried in my racial memory that is saying, ?Don?t piss off a Viking.?
  6. Calm down and repeat after me: Those in power know best, that?s why they?re in power It?s for our protection Kill the transgressors Now if only we could all get together, perhaps once a week in a big hall or something and all repeat it together we would all feel so much more reassured.
  7. Careful Mockney, sarcasm suggests freedom of thought which can lead to terrorism in which case you have just given the government the excuse they need to steel all your assets and incarcerate you indefinitely without trial. Edited: For your protection - HM police services.
  8. http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2008/oct/10/banking-creditcrunch ??In unusually aggressive terms last night, the prime minister said he was willing to use anti-terrorism legislation to freeze the assets of other Icelandic companies operating in Britain in an effort to recoup the lost money.? Fuck me! Is all I can rightfully say to that. Talk about setting a hugely worrying precedent for the abuse of "anti terrorism" legislation. Edit: To belatedly add sarcastic quotation marks around anti terrorism.
  9. For a cut above the rest, Tandoori Nights. Otherwise, ?Who does the best curry in town?? is a rhetorical question around here. Although one that is quite enjoyable to try to answer.
  10. Just you wait. As soon as they join the EU I?m off.
  11. ;-) kinda trying to take the piss out of both sides of the argument. Why bother only offending half the people in this world ?ey.
  12. Yeah it is. More legal than financial though. I'm starting out in that area tonigh as well. Getting wankered amoungst the wankers if you will.
  13. Why do you get DD and not AA, BB and CC?

I live and work here basically because I can, I quite like it and I don?t feel like going back to small town Seffrika just yet. I do not however feel I have some intrinsic right to. Granted someone like me who was already educated and was contributing to the British economy and paying tax from day one is a net gain for the economy. But surely a country has a responsibility to the people it has spawned.
  16. So why should someone arriving from abroad be given the same preference as a UK national?
  17. I don?t think so. I checked for bottled beer and apart from the usual lagers (peroni etc) the only other beer they had in bottles was New Castle Brown. Which I was happy to see but am pretty sure is left over stock from the Magdala. I could be wrong though and this was 2 weeks ago so they may have other beers there now.
  18. Well that was entertaining. I like a bit of a flounce on a Friday morning me.
  19. Thanks PGC I love that song! Pity I couldn't listen to music at work today and I only saw it now.
  20. I know. I?m sorry. And to think that the only reason they let us play with guns at school was on the proviso that one day we would shoot communists with them. Hopefully one day the government will employ someone to make sure I don?t write this sort of dangerous nonsense when I have me little turns.
  21. Crazy idea here, completely unprecedented I know and couldn?t possibly work but here you go: Regulate the cost of private rentals and if you are going to have a social housing system make sure the councils have enough of their own housing stock. I know I know it sounds nuts. It was just one of those mad thoughts I sometimes have.
  22. I don?t say anything except on Wednesdays when I regularly say, ?Oh, Bollocks!? because I have to push the wheelie bin to the bottom of the path while trying to eat my toast at the same time.
  23. Is Jah?s new found love for the Magnolia perchance somehow related to the fact that he currently finds himself somewhat light of pocket?

Sean the wallpaper is important. Not specifically to your enjoyment of the pub but it has cultural and historical significance. The current wallpaper thing is the equivalent of what those neon down-lighter thingies were in bars/pubs 10-15 years ago. In the future people are going to remember this era for the wallpaper.
