  1. Happened a lot in covid woth lots of hospitality businesses. I think they had more leverage then
  2. There have been plenty in the evening skys I think? Have another look in an hour or so.
  3. I agree with Lurky's analysis. No doubt Poundland have been in discussions with the Landlord about ending hte lease early or renegotiating it (given the broader group's position) and so the Landlord has sought a new tenant who would need licences and possibly planning for new signage to be approved before signing a new lease.
  4. I noticed another of these boards outside the leisure centre on the East Dulwich road side. it has one advert for the “local” councillors in it (lol) and nothing else. what a frivolous waste of opportunity,
  5. Hi Hugo, do you happen to live round here? There are loads of VWs with missing front badges once you start looking for them. If you left a note under the windscreen wiper of each one you see with the above message I'm sure someone would be interested in discussing this with you.
  6. It's happened before I think, either with a CPZ or an LTN. A decision was made and accidentally published early then removed. If I recall correctly they then denied any decision had been made before then publishing the (long predicted and accidentally released) decision at a later date.
  7. My reply was helpful, hopefully. Someone else found the same advice helpful previously too.
  8. The post office were competent for my purposes when I was presented with a similar list. But I did suggest the OP check with the actual person who requires certification, and not me or some bloke call Ianr from the internet.
  9. The Post Offcie certify copy documents. Check with whoever needs it if they would be appropriate
  10. Its not free. Most of us who own cars also pay council tax at the full rate without discounts. That covers the cost. The council actually makes a profit from ttaxing motorists. They have more money than they know what to do with when it comes to roads, hence the extraordinarily lavish expenditure on landscaping the LTNs on Grive Vale etc. They are awash with cash they have extracted from car owners.
  11. How about the "local" councillors look after it? They're here all the time anyway, right,so it wouldn't be much of an additional burden for them to update olit once a month.
  12. He supported it, but if residents voted against it he would respect that. Many of the CPZs round here were implemented after he left and Labour took over.
  13. That's fantastic news. Good on him.
  14. I pass here almost every day and have never seen the local business struggle to load. There's plenty of space as things are. Seems to me this is just the meddling council being ****heads yet again. These are their reasons: "BAWDALE ROAD Goose Green add a total of 35m new 'DYLs' on both sides south-east of its junction with Lordship Lane (22m on the side of No. 157 Lordship Lane, 3m o/s No. 2 Bawdale Road, and 10m opposite No.2 Bawdale Road) to protect access for large vehicles coming to collect from and deliver goods to the nearby businesses" Consultation here: https://consultation.appyway.com/southwark/order/1c3a8926-8f51-47e1-8460-2727fec6d895
  15. Is this the council supporting local businesses like what they said in their Melbourne Grove parking consultation?
  16. It's a park, not a meadow.
  17. That's absolutely disgusting. If it's true they should have closed the shop until it was fixed.
  18. The reimagining of Kings Cross came with a huge amount of social cleansing.
  19. What's in this deal for East Dulwich then?
  20. Bob, your neighbours sound like the kind of care free fly-by-the-seat-of-their-pants people who like to have fun. You should try to make friends with them and see what other tips you can get to make your life more exciting!!
  21. Those floor plans remind me of the layout of the houses they built on the site of the Old Police Station opposite the Actress.
  22. Are those images all AI or artists impressions?
  23. It's probably time to ban dogs. On top of all that plastic waste, and the biohazard crimes left on our pavements every day, the average pet dog has a worse annual carbon footprint than a new Range Rover. Keeping "pet" dogs adds a terrible burden on our climate and is an anachronism that has had its day.
  24. Hopefully it fares better than the public space outside the library / leisure centre
