  1. Filed it out. Southwark are the worst capitalists going when it comes to screwing profits out of motorists.
  2. This should be relatively straightforward and very cheap. It might also be something your seller took out when they bought that can be passed on to you.
  3. Commercial aren't allowed to use it at all. That's why you have to prove you're a resident disposing of residential waste. The kind of commercial operations that try to get rid of waste on the cheap don't show up at the tip, they dump it on the streets. Do Veolia run the bulky waste service too?
  4. Lol as if it will make any difference round here Sunbob. For what is worth I don't think Helen Hayes has been very good as a constituency MP at all. She hasn't really achieved anything for us. Her biggest campaign has been about postal deliveries and they still get worse.
  5. Presumably this is to encourage people to pay for their bulky items service instead of finding the most affordable way to get rid of stuff that only fits in a van. My guess is they are not encouraging vans to visit at the best time, they are encouraging people not turn up in a van at all so they can tax you to pick stuff at your home.
  6. I'm amazed this festival is still going ahead after all the rain we've had. There was an actual lake in that valley about three weeks ago. The ground must be sodden. Some of it seems to be below the water table.
  7. They should rename this website "thepeoplewhomovedtoforesthillfromeastduwlichforum.co.uk"
  8. I live in a typical victorian home and can still hear the neighbours going up and down the stairs sometimes!!
  9. Whoever owns it obviously doesn't need the rent.
  10. I agree with Head Nun. My experience is very similar and has been so for the 25 years I've lived in London. They got a lot worse after the Tour de France came here though. And then the Olympics.
  11. Cyclists as a whole are the most antisocial people in London. Some of them are OK but the overwhelming majority couldn't give two hoots about obeying the highway code or showing any respect whatsoever to fellow citizens.
  12. The reason there were so many diesel cars os because the last Labour government actively encouraged people to buy diesel instead of petrol. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/labour-diesel-vehicles-health-warnings-impact-cars-air-pollution-tony-blair-gordon-brown-2000-budget-a8062301.html Then the Labour mayor shafted everyone who fell for that.
  13. He's moved to the right a fair bit though since Keir Starmer changed the Labour Party. Describes himself as a Socialist now, and has abandoned Marxism.
  14. Casting aspersions about their funding because you have no answer to their arguments is a really shabby way to engage with this important issue. You should try to be better.
  15. On the car parking point I don't thunk the council will allow a development to have parking and also residents are required to accept that they won't be allowed a parking permit anywhere.
  16. Everyone gets that they are terrible at budgeting. The point the OP has repeatedly made is that they are even worse at being transparent.
  17. There seem to be two campaigns against Barclays at the moment. One is some environmentalists and the other is anti Israel.
  18. Newts spawn? There's some newts in that fountain in Peckham Rye Park.
  19. The council are reasonably to quick to deal with stuff reported on here too. I've had a good response to reports of pot holes, fly tipping and abandoned rubbish bins.
  20. Surely the birds in this photo are just seagulls?
  21. If it's this bad it's worth complaining How do I complain? If your provider fails to repair a fault by the date promised, or you are unhappy with how long it is taking, follow their formal complaints procedure. This should be explained on their website or by their customer services team. If your problem is still unresolved after eight weeks, you can complain to an independent Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme. Ask your provider for a ‘deadlock’ letter so that you can refer your dispute to the relevant ADR scheme directly before the eight-week mark. There are two ADR schemes: the Communications and Internet Services Adjudication Scheme (CISAS) and Communications Ombudsman. All providers must belong to one of the schemes. Your provider will tell you which scheme it is a member of, or you can use our ADR checker.
  22. Had similar with a tradesman on here. Lots of good reviews. First job he did was OK and reasonably priced. Next job he sent someone else along who was very mediocre, stole some stuff from me and the job ended up costing nearly twice the original estimate.
  23. Would have been worth 4m if we'd got a Waitrose instead of screw fix. 3000 sq ft of voluminous, lateral living spaces that have been expertly curated is actually quite a lot for round here.
