Commotion in sainsburys dulwich (school kids)

Hardly ridiculous that anti-social behaviour has increased around Sainsbury's and the immediate area around East Dulwich station since Charter opened nearby after school. I'm not against the school being located where it is, but there are clear issues around behaviour of pupils once school ends which needs to be addressed when they all finally return to school later this year. -
There was the minimum of fruit and veg in Sainsbury's DKH this afternoon. Unlike yesterday, staff including managers were attempting to restock the cleaning and frozen isles. M&S and the Co-Op were heaving.
-
Finally grabbed some bread in Tesco Express in Forest Hill.
-
Milk was back in DKH this afternoon. I ended up doing around 80% at DKH as they had most things I required today with the rest in the Sainsbury's Local. They were better stocked than DKH where I was able to buy fruit and mineral water. No canned goods or bread however.
-
Busier at 3pm, but was able to get bread (which is low), milk, loo roll, desserts, chilled ready meals and a tin of spaghetti hoops. Next to non existent on cleaning products, bin bags, mineral water (except 6-12 packs of 500ml, many tinned food product, toothpaste, hand wash, sanitary products. but had Heinz Baked Beans, including 6 pack less sugar packs and Spaghetti Hoops with a minimal amount of Heinz Spaghetti.

It wouldn't be the first time school children have been arrested at Sainsbury's since Charter opened. -
The humps used on Underhill Road are designed so that buses can ride along gaps wide enough for the buses to fit, while cars have to use the hump and slow down. They could implement this on Court Lane if there wasn't the current scheme to pedestrianise the Village end.
-
They didn't have Hovis medium white for over three weeks and there were hardly any chilled desserts on Wednesday.
-
A shame, they're one of the better newsagents down that end of LL. Red Apple News opposite the library is still going and they provide an outstanding service, including paper delivery.
-
On Saturday, there is only a 30 minute train service to London Bridge from Forest Hill, Honor Oak Park and New Cross Gate due to engineering works. Sunday trains run every 15 mins from those stations, although they may be affected by Storm Ciara. Peckham Rye sees Victoria trains running only every 30 mins, while Denmark Hill has three trains per hour to Victoria with buses replacing Thameslink and Overground trains.

Lloyds bank east dulwich due to close......
Bic Basher replied to sweetgirl's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
When I went past on Wednesday morning, there were 7 people queuing before they opened. Nobody uses banks apparently. -
I popped into the Bell Green Sainsbury's on Wednesday and what a comparison to DKH. They had everything I wanted, there were no cages blocking the isles, plenty of SmartShop scanners and you still have to put in ?1 for a trolley, so there aren't any dumped trolleys in the surrounding area. The only issue I had in there was the poor guy supervising the SmartShop tills was rushed off his feet.
-
Jenny Eclair was on one of her regular jaunts to Sainsbury's on Saturday afternoon and didn't like the fact there was a queue for the SmartShop handheld devices and was counting how many were in the queue.

What is noticeable is the lack of staff. Dump the silly front till and put them back behind the counters.
-
Sainsbury's has gone down since Argos opened. They've reduced stock lines, the magazine section is now tiny with a random selection of titles that nobody wants except the tv mags. Deliveries seem to be random with lines not being restocked for days.
-
I wonder if they'll keep the launderette facilities on the forecourt?

To bring things > back on topic here !!! But they didn't come out for Remain (considering Corbyn has been on the record numerous times in his career as being anti-EU), Labour were offered a place in the Unite for Remain alliance which they brushed off. Now I don't think for one minute that Hayes is an anti semite or a leave supporter, but her party is full of Momentum supporters who are of the far-left, so while most middle class Dulwichites will blindly vote for Helen based on her local work, the national party is nothing short of a mess.
-
I'm a Lib Dem member and as they're standing down for the Green's co-leader Jonathan Hartley, I'll be supporting him instead. As for Helen Hayes, I can't fault her excellent work as our local MP, but I can't vote for a party where they have so many internal issues and can't decide if they're for Remain or not.

The P4 has five buses per hour, but they get stuck along Dulwich Common where the traffic goes at a snail's pace due to the poor phasing of the traffic lights at the Lordship Lane junction. The P13 has four buses per hour and suffers also from the Dulwich Common issues in addition to the problems using Underhill Road/Whateley Road.

Which GP Surgery to register with please?
Bic Basher replied to beansprout's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I'm with 306 Medical Centre. They do go and try to help you if you need an emergency appointment and with prescriptions. Large catchment area including the whole of SE22, SE21 and parts of SE5 and SE15. The Gardens has a small catchment area in SE22 which is inside Underhill Road, Lordship Lane and Barry Road as boundaries. -
According to TfL, the roadworks on Barry Road will now continue until December 20th. A job that should have taken 4 weeks is now three months. How can Thames Water get away with such disruption?

Sainsburys ban on selling fireworks?
Bic Basher replied to hammerman's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Sainsburys at DKH used to have a special sales area in the front of the store. Was always quiet until a couple of days before Nov 5th. -
Stabbing on the lordship lane estate?
Bic Basher replied to Tastyt1982's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Nothing about the alleged stabbing of a resident of Campbell Court, but the Peckham Rye stabbing was on LBC this morning. Worth noting that I saw the memorial to a chap named 'Theo' yesterday afternoon, but by the time I went past at 5pm, it had been desecrated.
