Has a whiff of attention-seeking to me. They may have captured a zeitgeist in the 90's and releasd two good albums - but after that... erm.. celeb parties at number 10 and infighting... It wasn't a suprise after the 'laryngitis' episode last week.

when are the next EDF drinks? I am dying to meet some of the characters on here and see if you match up to my presumptions. (although that might spoil the magic!)

apparently, it will all be fixed and like new on Tuesday! Someone is coming out to inspect over the weekend and then it will be re-surfaced straight away if deemed necessary. It all sounds incredibly efficient and proactive, especially as it's a bank hol inbetween. I'll look forward to a pint from the good residents of Derwent Grove ;-) right - i can't sit about on the internet all evening when there are other uneven pavements to discover... *straightens cape, shoots indestructible bracelets and flies off into the night* -

Thanks and well said annaj! If i'd been elderly i'd definately have shattered a few bones! As it is i'm in tons of pain and look like i've been up to dodgy pursuits with scraped knees! Applespider and Computed, that's really useful, thank you. I took a piccy yesterday and it's at least an inch off the ground. will report it now. -
really? how do you know? my head must have bounced a bit harder off the pavement than i thought this morning then...

not tonight - why? am i being dense?

Thanks for all the advice. I was thinking more about reporting to council so that it gets fixed... i'll take a look tomorrow and double check it's as uneven as i remember! Felt a bit daft going into my meeting at work with scraped knees and hands though :-) -
this morning... flat on my face in the middle of the pavement; bleeding feet, knees, hands - the works! was probably pretty amusing to the residents though. There were two paving stones virtually at a right angle - am i supposed to notify/bollock the council or something now? or should i just watch where i'm going?

yes, I went too, it was really lovely - good food and decent drinks available, too - as long as you could beat the queue. Take some toilet roll and something warm for when the sun goes down. Loads of people sat on chairs, i would definately take some next time as the ground got damp towards the end. -
love it!!

I've been on the tube three times where someone was being harrassed by drunk blokes, to the point of fear/upset. I've been the only one to intervene each time and the men were all staring at the floor/newspapers. I'm not judging this though, as I have (rightly or wrongly) felt I would not get any physical repercussions and they might. The bleach incident (see OP) has made me think twice about sticking my oar in though.

Clothes shopping, which is much nicer than staring folornly at the clothes through the shop window as i do for the remainder of the month. food shopping at M&S and local ED delis to make up for the second half of the month's food, which comes from Londis. i think i'm starting to recognise a pattern here!
