If you've got an Android phone try downloading the free "wifi analyzer" from the play store, it will show how strong all the competing signals are and which channel they're all on. It will also help you position your router for the best coverage.
  4. For the P13 route I suggest the following 4 1 The Earl Ferrers, Streatham 2 The Railway, Tulse Hill 3 The Montpellier, Peckham 4 Beer rebellion, Peckham Limiting it to 4 is harsh though. Half way round a Streatham crawl a few years ago we stopped off at the Holland Tringham, the spoons on the High Rd. We were just in time to see a pissed pensioner attempt to take the stairs on his mobility scooter, never before has a pub chain been so perfectly encapsulated in one incident.
  5. Jeez was this thread really over two years ago? Taken to extremes intrusive thoughts are the most common form of ocd apparently. http://www.ocduk.org/types-ocd
  6. I'd be equally shocked to hear DC wasn't buying all his top hats from Pateys on Gowlett Rd. http://www.pateyhats.com/
  7. DC You mean to say you're not sleeping on a bed from Norris, I'm shocked. Not just british, but SE London no less. http://www.norrisbedding.co.uk/
  8. Is it the same problem as this which seems to have been resolved in the last post. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/oemail-osend/reply-emails-not-coming-through-to-hotmail-address/8e2989fd-0e93-4816-9df1-073f9e768c0b
  9. I did the Bermondsey Beer Mile last Saturday which I'd recommend for any beer lovers. Try and pick a day it's not raining though the stops are mostly pretty small.
  10. Thanks, that's roughly what I was hoping for. Eta thanks for the tip LadyNorwood
  11. Anybody got any idea how long it would take?
  12. I haven't walked the whole length of it but one of my sisters lives near the start of the dales way in Addingham and the scenery is stunning. About the right length at 80 miles. http://www.yorkshiredales.org.uk/outandabout/gettingactive/promotedroutes/dalesway
  13. Athlete? No. Happy to cheat a bit? Yes. We spent the night before with a friend in Gateshead who gave us a lift to the "start" (about 10 miles in) the next day. Accommodation wise it was a B&B followed by a bunk house then another B&B, which were ok but nothing memorable. It's quite easy walking but to me the scenery was a bit dull. If you're a regular walker (I'm not) and want to cross it off your list then fine, but to be honest I'd far rather spend a week on somewhere like the dales way. It's
  14. Yes, a while ago now though. Took 4 easyish days going east to west, the scenery getting better the further west you got.
  15. I've got a door frame one, no screws required, just take it out when you're not using it.

Article on drones and the impact they're starting to have in both military and civilian lives. http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2014/10/drones-the-next-smartphone.html Worth reading just to find the wedding video. Whilst you'll probably burn in hell for laughing at someone's choice of wedding video, each to their own and all that, I'm sure God won't mind you laughing at their first take.
  17. At times like this I turn to Viz to see what to do
  18. Is that pho that you used to be pronounced noodle soup and cost ?3.50 but is now called pho and costs ?6-12?
  19. London's population grew from the 19th century peaking in 1939. It then declined to a low in the 90's but has increased since, particularly in the last 10 years, but still not quite back to its 39 peak. People are still leaving in large numbers, but are being replaced by large amounts of immigration mostly from within the EU. Although inner London has seen a huge rise in percentage terms in the last 20 years it's still below the 1861 census figures.

By your > definition, Wetherspoons would be a gastro pub. The owner of Wetherspoons recently claimed 50% of their turnover now comes from non alcohol sales,so are they still a pub. Are we entering a world where The Fox on the Hill is a restaurant and the Ledbury a pub

  22. ?12 is the price for a wannabe regency dandy's haircut, not a bloke's.
  23. Reporting of suicides is very strictly controlled in some countries, iirc Denmark in particular and there are WHO guidelines on it.I'd be interested to know how well those rules work in the case of someone this famous though.
