  4. Hi everyone, I don't think my daughter will be going to a nursery until she is 3, when she will qualify for the free 15 hours a week, but I was wondering, how does it work? When would I need to get her on a waiting list to make sure she had a place for when she is 3 (she is just about to turn 1)? Do all nursery's offer the free 15 hours? Any advice welcome! Thanks, Sophie

  6. I use my ergo all the time, every day. It is brilliant, and perfect the the journeys you are talking about - when i am doing quick in and out of the car journeys I just leave it belted round my waist while I'm driving, then you just throw the baby in and off you go! A million times quicker than a buggy, easy and comfy. S

  23. hi everyone, this afternoon i have come down with what i think is mastitis. it is awful! my daughter is 10 months, i suppose i should just be grateful it hasn't happened before. anyway, i am going to try to see a doctor tomorrow, but does anyone have any advice on what i can do to help myself between now and then? i am supposed to be working in the morning, but I'm not sure that it is such a good idea :( thanks, Sophie (feeling very miserable for herself)
  24. we went to a wedding with our baby when she was 3 weeks old. it was out of town too and we had a hotel near the venue. i have to say, if it hadn't been a family wedding (and my husband was being the videographer), we would definitely have bailed. Not only will you be tired, you be feeding all the time, changing nappies all the time (I changed our baby in the grave yard of the church before the ceremony, and was breastfeeding her in the church during the vows). Also, depending on your birth, you might not be feeling physically up to it. It is definitely a strain on your body when you would probably feel more comfortable at home. Anyway, like you said, you will know better once your baby is born, I would definitely not promise to go, it will just put pressure on you once the baby has arrived.
  25. Hi all, Ok, i have family coming over from Australia in the summer, and we are thinking of taking a family trip down to Cornwall, renting a cottage all together. We will need at least 4 bedrooms, possibly 5, and we have a little baby. I was wondering if anyone had rented anywhere that they could recommend? Thanks for any tips! Sophie x
