KateFord
Intended train strike meant to start tomorrow. I only found out after finding a leaflet on my train seat from London Bridge. It may affect trains along the East Dulwich route to London Bridge. Just a heads-up for commuters to check before they travel tomorrow as buses and alternate routes expected to be a lot busier.More detail and further dates here: http://www.southernrailway.com/your-journey/strike http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/service_disruptions/124447.aspx Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/103777-southern-rail-train-strike-tues-april-26-wed-april-27/ Share on other sites
ED_moots
According to this services from ED will run fine although likely to be busy. Can't imagine services will be unaffected though Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/103777-southern-rail-train-strike-tues-april-26-wed-april-27/#findComment-990427 Share on other sites
rendelharris
Thanks a lot for posting this - hadn't heard a thing and according to the map no ED-Wimbledon service, you've saved Mrs.H being very late for school. Much appreciated.Cheers,Rendel Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/103777-southern-rail-train-strike-tues-april-26-wed-april-27/#findComment-990442 Share on other sites
danielson00
Think the biggest problem will be trying to get home from London Bridge on strike days, will probably be carnage! rendelharris
The map kindly linked by ED_moots above claims there will be no difference to the London Bridge - East Dulwich service, it's only the service thrugh to Wimbledon which won't be running. It does say the London Bridge trains may be more crowded than usual, but I can't actually see how that's possible... lagamine98
Got the 08:10 from ED this morning and it was as normal, maybe a bit less busier than usual.Tonight got the 17:30 from LB and there was no problem at all. Actually LB station was really quiet, a lot less people around than usual. edcase
This morning at Peckham Rye didn't look too good so I jumped on the Thameslink. Anybody used Southern to ED or Forest Hill this afternoon?
