posts staying new

Just noticed that some posts in a few threads are staying marked as new even though they shouldn't be any more. Not sure whether the problem's at my end or yours.

A bit more: have tried using the 'mark forum read' link from the homepage. No joy. Now entire threads are coming up as new. Have also tried logging out and back in; also no joy.

Edit: but coming out of Firefox and back in sorted it. Looks like it was my end.

It's like a mini adventure.

I think it's probably the phorum software being a bit hiccoughy. I've noticed after something gets lounged that threads occasionally come up as new when they shouldn't. And the second problem may well have been a bit of caching in IE.

But I don't find the odd mark forum as read press too much of an onus I have to say.

Clicking mark forum read, with only one post marked as new (and even that shouldn't be) ends up with everything being marked as new when I go back in.

clear your cache manually, stick to firefox and occasionally give your pc a hard slap on the side with the flat of your hand. Works for tellies.

Ignore my screams of cache cache. Bet you it's database issues.

Not that I know much about IT, but it looks like the read/unread flags on a couple of Ant's posts won't flip and need to be re-set manually.

The error-message was:

I've repaired it. Is it ok now?
