Car Washers at Sainsbury's

Sorry if I have missed a thread, but what has become of the car wash brigade?

I used them just a couple of weeks ago (pretty poor wash, though)

The guys at the back of Co-op (I think it's that road) do a pretty good job

They don't do a very good job these days, which is a shame.

I now use the one in Nunhead, under the railway arches in Evelina Road, they are extremely thorough and do a great job. They have an area you can sit in, you get offered tea/coffee and if you have kids with you they get a sweet.

When they changed hands there were complaints about scratched cars, so I haven't been back since. Also recommend the one behind Co-op and the one on Copeland Road in Peckham.

I second the one on Evelina Road - great wash/vac and ?2 cheaper on Tuesdays.

I should have made myself clearer - it was the Russian ?5 chaps in the car park I meant. I have been there a couple of times during the last week and there was no sign of them.

Seabag, the Nunhead one do a really good job. With others, I get it washed then do the detailing myself, but it's not necessary after a visit to the Evelina Rd car wash. I'm a fan of shiny cars!

Used the Nunhead guys last week for the first time. They did a brilliant job, helpful and friendly and you get offered tea and coffee too.

? asked at Sainsburys a few months ago. The company cleaning cars lost their contract at all Sainsburys because of visa issues I was told.

Another vote for the guys in Nunhead after stopped using Sainsburys guys.

They even t-cut out paint marks on my bumper from someone kindly scraping it when parking for no extra charge.

I'm really confused which ones we are talking about.

Is it the big hand car wash with the canopy which has changed hands resulting in scratched cars, or the ones in the sainsbo's car park with the mobile trolley?

It's the big car wash where they use jet washers.

My original and subsequent posts concerned the car-washers on Sainsbury's car park, who have disappeared. I did hear a rumour that they might have had visa problems, but I don't know any more than that. Must say I found them very good and I'm sorry to see them go.
