Last offered distances for primary schools 2016

Do your furthest distance stats include offers made to LAC applicants Renata? I know Southwark's official figures typically publish the furthest distance figure for pupils admitted only on the distance criteria but it would be good if you could confirm your attachment has been done on the same basis.

It's not all that helpful for the average family thinking about school choices when these furthest distance offered figures include Looked After children and siblings.

All offered means that everyone who applied for a place was eligible for a place (numbers actually applying would be much higher than places as everyone has 6 choices). It means there was no last place distance offer, if you lived 5km away you would have got a place.

My son's in Reception at Bessemer and kids in his class come from East Dulwich (both sides of Lordship Lane - we're down near the Rye), Denmark Hill and Herne Hill areas. Hope that helps!

Is there ever a way to find out how many siblings there are for the next year?

The schools that we were applying to last year were happy to provide this information over the phone when I phoned and ask. I hope that helps x

Re the siblings question, the answer is no there's no way to be sure of numbers. I work in a school office and the only siblings we know about are the ones currently attending our nursery, gives a ball park figure but not an accurate one....
